Former Oath Keepers spokesman tells January 6 committee about the law enforcement officers who died that day

Correct us if we’re wrong, but we think it was the New York Times that first reported that Capitol Police officer Brian Sicknick had been bludgeoned to death with a fire extinguisher by the mob on January 6. It took until February 15 for the Times to issue a correction, but by that time, the lie had already taken hold — the Democrats mentioned Sicknick’s bludgeoning death in their impeachment papers of President Trump.

Former Oath Keepers spokesman Jason Van Tatenhove testified before the January 6 select committee Tuesday and said it was time to “talk about truths” — that people died that day, and law enforcement officers died. We know Ashley Babbitt died, but which law enforcement officers were killed again? Since we’re talking about truths, that is.

Isn’t this sworn testimony? Can we get someone on the committee who’s essentially studied all of this to push back?
