Independent journalist Nick Shirley has been so instrumental in uncovering the theft of taxpayer dollars via rampant fraud that CNN decided to investigate based on his efforts in Minnesota. Oh, we should also mention that CNN did an investigation into Shirley, not the fraud he found.
Meanwhile, in California, Shirley's reports about child care system fraud in that state caught the attention of Team Gavin Newsom, who then mocked Shirley for exposing what was going on:

Attempting to mock those exposing the fraud instead of admitting to, and doing something about, the fraud itself is quite on-brand for Dems like Newsom.
Newsom has made it abundantly clear that he's going to run for the Democrat Party presidential nomination in 2028, but it seems the more people see him the worse his odds are getting:
BREAKING: Gavin Newsom's 2028 presidential odds collapse to an all-time low, as he lays groundwork for a potential White House run.

Shirley had another reality check that Team Newsom won't like based on his declining odds:

#1 in homelessness

#1 in fraud
All of this while receiving the most amount of tax dollars from its citizens https://t.co/KsUYORc3of
Maybe Newsom's hoping his freaky body language will erase all those things from the memories of voters.
The more people see this oily used car salesman, the less they like him.

Hopefully that trend continues.
