NPR wants to hear from parents about how they talk to their children about abortion and at what age

As Twitchy reported last week, an editor for Scholastic Press told authors that yes, she absolutely wants your young adult books about abortion. That doesn’t mean there aren’t already books for kids about abortion, though. We’ve featured the children’s board book “What’s an Abortion, Anyway?” a couple of times, after a loving mother tweeted how fiercely proud she was that her toddler “will grow up knowing” the value of abortion. Self-described “Beyoncé of Abortion Storytelling” Renee Bracey Sherman said the book was “super cute” and a great way of starting the conversation with your little ones. But it gets better! Not only are you giving your child a “medically accurate” picture of abortions; you’re also explaining to them that gender is fluid and that men can also have abortions.

With resources like that, parents have a means on hand to talk about abortion with their kids. And speaking of kids, NPR is doing some fishing for a story; they know what they want to write, they just need some quotes to fill in the gaps. If you’re a parent, NPR wants to hear from you how you talk to your kids about abortion:

NPR doesn’t really want to hear from you. They need one quote from a parent, and the rest of the article will be drawn from interviews with “experts” on teaching children about abortion.
