We regret to inform you that the journalists are at it again. It was back in 2016 when MSNBC columnist Michael Cohen expressed his desire that just once, during the seventh-inning stretch, they’d honor journalists and not the military. A year later, MSNBC’s Katy Tur compared journalists to firefighters racing toward the flames — an analogy picked up by the head of the Pulitzer Prize committee in 2020.
On the six-month anniversary of the Capitol riots, VICE did a story on the trauma experienced by journalists who were there; one reporter said he “used to call the Capitol my girlfriend,” but now he doesn’t want to be there. Other journalists were in therapy.
Now that it’s Insurrection Week, we’re revisiting the trauma experienced by journalists. Jason Rezaian has a piece in the Washington Post about that trauma that was highlighted by CNN’s Brian Stelter:
>> @jrezaian: "We don't talk enough about the trauma many journalists endure — in large part because we are not supposed to know about it: Journalists never want to eclipse the subjects and broader themes at the heart of our stories." https://t.co/4FPOt6btMN
— Brian Stelter (@brianstelter) January 3, 2022
Didn’t we already go through this with Jim Acosta and his “dangerous time in America to be a journalist” book? Yes, but Trump’s supporters are always on the periphery, just waiting for their chance to strike again.

Translation: My narcissism has consumed my mind to the point where creating an alternate reality where I am simultaneously both a victim and empowered is the only way for me to function.

"Journalists never want to eclipse the subjects and broader themes at the heart of our stories"… except for those times when we do, opining about how heroic we are 🤗
Please clap.

We don’t talk about the trauma many Americans endure by reading this garbage.

Is @CNN planning to air an en memorium for all the journalists who lost their lives on January 6?

Sorry I’m not empathetic to journos who supported months of violent riots and tried to gaslight us about “peaceful protests”

Fiery but mostly peaceful!
You weren't even there. For f*** sake, SOMEONE TRIED TO BURN DOWN YOUR WORK PLACE!!!!https://t.co/ocldrk1FWN

Show me any other profession where doing your job supposedly traumatizes you. Maybe it’s time to stop talking about journo trauma and start talking about people too easily traumatized choosing the wrong line of work.

You and your station are far from journalists Humpty! You literally get caught making headlines up, publishing false 'facts' and your ratings are proof!
Then like most Liberal Activists, you whine about being called out and play the 'Victim' role!
Simple fact: Tell the truth! pic.twitter.com/rD7Z9QXToD
