If you read the headline to this piece, you know what it’s about.
And yes, if you never touch a gun yourself and only hear about them on the news when there’s a mass shooting, you might very well be deluded into thinking all AR-15 owners are mass murderers.
It’s not often that CNN reports on a man who goes to the range, fires his legally owned AR-15, and goes home and locks it in a gun safe.
We’re thinking Newsweek’s Nina Burleigh needs to get out more and hear from some law-abiding AR-15 owners.
Almost every single person I’ve ever heard of with an AR-15 has been a mass murderer. Based on Twitter sample the rest of them are scarily paranoid. Get on the right side of history @DLoesch @Rambobiggs #gunsense https://t.co/rFtHFBpvLM

And I’m Paranoid? You just said almost all AR gun owners are mass murders. Wow https://t.co/8T9eMJxx7p

"I've ever heard of."
How many AR-15s are out there? https://t.co/KbtW9dtDmt

There are an estimated 15 million AR-15s in this country alone. Where are all of these millions and millions of mass murders taking place? https://t.co/LiEcJzJau2

15 million AR-15s have been sold. Do you know 15 million mass murderers? https://t.co/i8C5kwnkj7

The AR-15 is one of America's most popular guns.
If this tweet is true, it means nothing but that Nina doesn't know any gun owners.
(Of course she doesn't let that stop her from publicly speculating about gun owners she's "heard of" bc that's what journalism consists of now.) https://t.co/JzTQLM46So

If even 1/4 of the Americans with an AR-15 were mass murderers, the population of America would be zero. https://t.co/CoTuV5wtr2

If every AR15 owner was a mass murderer there wouldn't be anyone left living. Try talking to people outside of your bubble every once in a while. There are plenty of us normal folks that own these rifles. https://t.co/AU7Dmi7pRP
— Justin Nethers (@justinnethers) November 18, 2018
Get out of your media bubble and start talking to the tens of thousands of law-abiding people who own AR-15s & would never even consider murdering someone. Assuming that everyone who disagrees with you is evil/paranoid isn’t being “on the right side of history.” It’s cowardice. https://t.co/Wk12JOnLKa

Maybe because people like you and left wing media outlets never cover the story of the good guy with a gun. Maybe its because you are too stupid to consider that most people who own this weapon are not telling you they own it when you buy coffee from them in the morning. https://t.co/iaDMlfrM3z

My husband and I own three AR-15’s. We’ve never been arrested for anything in our 45 years on this planet. We exercise extreme safety when handling and securing our firearms, as do the majority of responsible gun owners. You have no idea what the hell you are talking about. https://t.co/0gZ0uxut3a
— MrsLibertas™ (@Bloviate_Barbie) November 17, 2018
This is absolutely true. I own three ARs, an FAL, and beautiful CZ .338. I have committed several mass shootings. https://t.co/hlO2iMjnHY

My liberal Democrat neurologist brother-in-law has an AR-15. Two of my plastic surgeon friends (both progressive) own AR-15’s.
If EVERY person you’ve ever heard of with an AR-15 has been a mass murderer, you seriously need to either:
a) get out more
b) move— Tracey Shapiro (@Tracey1024) November 17, 2018

There are between 6 and 12 million, with an m, AR-15’s currently in circulation. Also, the 3% stat cited here is woefully misrepresented.
Also, an interesting note: Nina has, in the past, stated she’d give Bill Clinton head for “saving” abortion. https://t.co/xCV9V305h7

Yes, this is the same person who said, “I would be happy to give [Bill Clinton] a blowjob just to thank him for keeping abortion legal.”

Wow, Rep. Eric Swalwell and his nukes have really kick-started that conversation on that “common-sense gun control” they always want to have.
