Jake Tapper gives astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson a fresh perspective on Earth

Neil deGrasse Tyson, America’s favorite astrophysicist, decided for some reason last week to apply his vast intellect to analysis of the Olympic Games, concluding that Hungary was “kicking our ass” in Rio when adjusting for relative population — which makes no sense, seeing as the entire populations of America and Hungary aren’t exactly going at it in the pool simultaneously.

If there was a point to his tweet somewhere out there, no one seemed to have a telescope large enough to find it. CNN’s Jake Tapper, though, gave deGrasse Tyson a much needed perspective on Earth and how things work here.
