Here’s a tweet straight from Indiana’s Department of Wishful Thinking. Gov. Mike Pence, who utterly fumbled his defense of Indiana’s Religious Freedom Restoration Act, has signed a “clarification” of the law for those outraged masses who likely never bothered to read the text of the original, triumphantly declaring the whole mess “behind us.”
Now that this is behind us, let’s move fwd together w/a renewed commitment to civility & respect that make IN great: http://t.co/AnqnchgM2n

As promised, the rewrite explicitly states that Indiana’s law is not a license to discriminate.
Gov Pence signed the rewrite of the religious freedom law, adding provisions that it does not permit discrimination for sexual orientation.

Gov Pence says some will say change goes too far, others not far enough "but as gov. I must always put the interest of our state first."

The amendment to the legislation specifies that it does not “authorize a provider to refuse to offer or provide services, facilities, use of public accommodations, goods, employment, or housing to any member or members of the general public on the basis of race, color, religion, ancestry, age, national origin, disability, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or United States military service.”
Pence: Law "enhances protection" in "conscience decisions that do not involve provision of goods and services, employment and housing."

RFRA is the law in Indiana. "Hoosier hospitality is not a slogan; it is our way of life," Pence says in a statement.
