Touré wonders what white American culture is and why you'd be proud of it

It’s hard to believe that Touré ever had a show on MSNBC. Actually, it’s not so hard to believe, seeing as Joy Reid still has a prime-time slot. But Touré and a few other black hosts were given the boot in the great MSNBC purge in 2015.

The tweet to which he was responding has been deleted, so we’re not sure what set him off and insisting that someone tell him what there is about white American culture of which they’re proud.

“It’s OK to be white” has been classified by the ADL as a hate slogan, so people have to be careful with their answers. And “whiteness” is seen as evil and something that needs to be done away with. Liberal white woman Robin DiAngelo will speak to your group about how to be less white for tens of thousands of dollars. We get it, white is bad.

Interesting how LGBTQ people aren’t considered white.

Well, we have recently learned that white people using spices is racist. Oh, and drinking coffee is racist:

Yeah, the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History & Culture had a short-lived display on “whiteness and white culture”: believing hard work is the key to success, being on time, delaying gratification, the nuclear family, and objective, rational thinking. But most of those were probably stolen from white European culture.

It’s wrong to be proud that you’re white and there’s nothing in white American culture to be proud of. So should white folx just self-flagellate for the rest of their lives or what?
