Florida Sen. Marco Rubio made some waves Monday when he tweeted that a man canvassing for him wearing a Rubio T-shirt and a DeSantis hat was brutally beaten the previous night:
Last night one of our canvassers wearing my T-shirt and a Desantis hat was brutally attacked by 4 animals who told him Republicans weren’t allowed in their neighborhood in #Hialeah #Florida
He suffered internal bleeding, a broken jaw & will need facial reconstructive surgery pic.twitter.com/36QpbySg58

The victim’s name is Christopher Monzon.
4/4
According to Hialeah police, Monzon ran into a man named Javier Lopez, who has violent past & was out on felony bond. Monzon tried to get away from Lopez, who followed & beat him up, an unnamed witness & Monzon told policeThere's no evidence Monzon started the fight pic.twitter.com/QMsZFmPws5

There’s also, as of now, according to the police report itself, literally zero evidence other than Rubio’s tweet that the attack was politically motivated, right?

There is now

Hayes tweeted that on the 24th, so police hadn’t fully sorted out the details. Once they had, yes, Rubio was right — it was politically motivated. Didn’t someone just claim that all of the violence is on the Right?
"Mr. Lopez told the victim he was not allowed to walk on the sidewalk and pass out fliers in his neighborhood"?
Are we to assume the perpetrator would have had the same issue with someone passing out fliers for a pizza place?

Chris, you speak with an awful lot of confidence for a person that still has tweets up from during the Jussie Smollet debacle.

He certainly does.
On Sunday thugs told a GOP canvasser wearing my campaign t-shirt that he couldn’t be in their neighborhood because he was a Republican
They assaulted him & commanded two dogs to attack him
Surveillance video corroborated the victim’s story & police have now made a second arrest pic.twitter.com/pGT6W0aFn8
— Marco Rubio (@marcorubio) October 26, 2022
Local media spent 2 days treating the GOP canvasser who was attacked as a criminal & denying the attack was politically motivated
Now a second arrest,a police report & surveillance video shows how biased & irresponsible the narrative they were pushing was pic.twitter.com/VdpyXQhrgV
— Marco Rubio (@marcorubio) October 26, 2022
Many local “reporters” in S. Fla spent 2 days smearing the GOP canvasser who was brutally attacked & claimed it had nothing to do with politics
Now, a 2nd thug has been arrested & police say it all began when he confronted the victim for being Republicanhttps://t.co/zMHVI0Qzih

There were a lot of media people dismissing the possibility of a political motive for this attack because the police hadn’t confirmed one.
We now have a police report where the victim alleges the attacker cited him being “a Republican”
That’s why it’s best to wait for facts. https://t.co/yhGUobRzWD pic.twitter.com/6q5YmmRMzR

Why wait for facts when there’s a narrative to push?

Lol you think these clowns are going to retract or issue a correction? They can just plow forward without a shred of self reflection, as is the journalistic (malpractice) environment of todays day and age

Rubio’s pinned tweet:
When a republican volunteer is savagely beaten the traditional media treats the victim as the criminal and the criminal as a nice young man who likes fishing & just made a mistake
— Marco Rubio (@marcorubio) October 25, 2022
Hey @chrislhayes come back here and take this L you loser blue checkmark.

Will Hayes be devoting a show to this left-wing violence?
