Well, it’s time to retire that line, because in an exclusive interview with ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos, Alec Bladwin reveals that not only didn’t he pull the trigger on the gun that killed a cinematographer — the trigger wasn’t pulled at all. This is so patently unbelievable. He didn't pull the trigger? And there was live ammunition on the set? Completely illogical. I don't think he meant to shoot anyone, but obviously he pulled the trigger. Guns typically don't shoot themselves at people.

Baldwin used a Single Action Army Colt. The SAA has 4 position hammer, meaning that the hammer has to be pulled back past 3 detents on the hammer in order for it to the able to fire. It can’t simply go off, without pulling back the hammer and then pulling the trigger. pic.twitter.com/I7OfshrQeP

I find it hard to believe he didn't pull the trigger, but if somehow the gun just went off as he pointed it at someone it still means he never checked the weapon out thoroughly which is a must. And you never aim a weapon at someone without doing so.
