As Twitchy reported earlier, NBC News’ Ken Dilanian wrote a report on gun parts manufacturers capitalizing on the “Let’s go, Brandon” craze. Someone grabbed a screenshot of Dilanian reporting that he contacted the Secret Service, “which investigates threats against the president,” for comment, without any luck.
On his own Twitter feed, Dilanian confirmed that he did indeed call the Secret Service:
I called the Secret Service about this. They had no comment. https://t.co/CmcATXY5DV pic.twitter.com/vD7dblz9JG

You called the Secret Service about a “meme”? pic.twitter.com/o3zYEOmLHE

I called to ask the Secret Service whether they consider “F—Joe Biden”emblazoned on an assault rifle to represent a security threat to the president. Which I think is a reasonable question. https://t.co/HfqZfrE7rE

Have you considered looking up “threat” in the dictionary before wasting everyone’s time?

Spend your time more productively maybe?

I don’t think that it represents a security threat to the president

What skewed reality you live in that this constitutes a theat?
— Alexander Rodriguez (@AlexR199) November 1, 2021
So, the answer is yes. You called Secret Service about a meme.

NBC News is now calling "let's go Brandon" a threat on the President's life and asking US Secret Service if they investigating. https://t.co/WRjIyCl41u

It even made MSNBC:
Liberal lunacy: MSNBC claims a novelty AR lower featuring "Let's Go Brandon" as part of the serial number and "F*** Joe Biden" on the fire selector was the gunmaker marketing "violent threats against President Biden." They even pestered the Secret Service about it. pic.twitter.com/lJuphm9uOA

If you think that was a reasonable question then I think it’s reasonable to ask why you have a prominent news media job.
