Kamala Harris, proud co-sponsor of the Green New Deal, calls the vote on it a political stunt

You can’t see it in the photo, but Jay Inslee and Bernie Sanders also posted tweets supporting the Green New Deal at the same time as Cory Booker, Elizabeth Warren, Kirsten Gillibrand, and Kamala Harris. Democrats couldn’t wait to put their names on that mess.

But now Harris has issued a statement calling the vote a political stunt and shifting the blame to Republican climate change deniers.

It’s an existential threat that requires bold action exactly like that outlined in the Green New Deal resolution. And a vast majority of Senate Democrats voted “Present.” Because it was a political stunt, duh.
