The Free Beacon reports that House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and other Democrats will be wearing white to President Donald Trump’s joint address Tuesday night, not so much as a protest but as a “statement of values.”

MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell asked Pelosi if her wardrobe choice was “a form of silent protest.” We wouldn’t have thought to ask, but come to think of it, it’s probably safer to assume that every piece of clothing worn by a liberal was chosen for its symbolic value.
Pelosi assured Mitchell that the Democrats “will be very dignified,” which hopeful means each will limit herself to one tasteful accessory: a safety pin, tampon earrings, Nasty Woman T-shirt, ACLU ribbon, vagina hat, white bandana …

But then they wouldn’t be able to shake hands with the president.
The white is supposed to represent the Suffragette movement, but the punchline is found in Pelosi’s accents of purple, the product of mixing red and blue, represent bipartisanship.
