The following is some much needed good news, at least to good people.
I'm in downtown #Dallas and I feel the need to randomly hug a police officer. Or anyone. We are all hurting. #PrayForDallas #PrayForPeace

A day after five police officers were ambushed and fatally shot at a march in downtown Dallas to protest police-involved shootings in Louisiana and Minnesota, hundreds of citizens attended a citywide prayer service at which Dallas Police Chief David Brown said that “thank you” is something rarely heard by those in police work.
Incredible turnout came in support of our officers. pic.twitter.com/ofEy7QX5k5

Not only was Brown applauded, but following the service, hundreds stood in line for their turn to hug any of the police officers in attendance.
At the prayer service this morning, I watched as person after person lined up to hug Dallas police officers, it was so touching. ??????

5 Dallas police officers were killed. Want to know what gives me hope? People in Dallas are waiting in line to hug other officers.

The images gave a lot of people hope. But didn’t President Obama announce Friday that he was going to cut his trip to Spain short so that he could rush back to the United States to “bring people together to support our police officers and communities”? If he thinks he has any chance, he really needs to hurry.
@wsbtv @martinoxon Because that's easier than hugging black people, right?
