Senator Rand Paul’s team has taken a swipe at Texas Gov. Rick Perry following Perry’s op-ed piece criticizing Paul’s isolationist policies.
In the Washington Post Friday, Perry wrote that it’s “disheartening to hear fellow Republicans, such as Sen. Rand Paul (Ky.), suggest that our nation should ignore what’s happening in Iraq. The main problem with this argument is that it means ignoring the profound threat that the group now calling itself the Islamic State poses to the United States and the world.”
Paul’s advisor, Doug Stafford, suggested that Perry keep an eye on his own back yard before criticizing Paul.

@PeterHambyCNN If Paul were a conservative or even a Republican, I might care. He's a libertarian in Republican drag. @allahpundit
