As Twitchy reported, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz made his first late-night TV appearance Friday night on “The Tonight Show.” The guest’s chair looked more like a hot seat as host Jay Leno pressed Cruz on “his” government shutdown, wealth inequality, gun control, gay marriage and more.
The interview certainly looked like a warm-up for a 2016 run, and “Lois and Clark” actor Dean Cain was impressed, saying Cruz would have his vote in a second. That was especially good news to one tweeter in particular:
Thx! Appreciate words of support! “@RealDeanCain: @SenTedCruz would have my vote in a second Listen before you judge http://t.co/BVdXDFpnYV”

Cain wasn’t alone in his enthusiasm for the junior senator.
