In case you’d forgotten that Tina Brown is an elitist liberal snob, here’s what she thinks of you:

OK, let’s get this straight: Tea Partyers are marking five years of working to restore our Founding Fathers’ vision for America, which Tina Brown finds hilarious for some reason. So, in order to make said Tea Partyers look stupid … she reminds us that she’s a miserable failure?

Alrighty then!

It really is a mystery.

In any event:

True story.

Y’all just don’t get it. If it weren’t for the Tea Party we’d still have Newsweek.

    • Perry

      Their bigotry killed it.

Does anyone else remember when Newsweek was a sterling tower of virtuous journalism?

        Neither do I.

I recall worn copies at the dental office. Root canals were preferable to reading them, of course.

Thanks to the Tea Party, no “unbiased” news magazines exist to call Obama the Second Coming.

He got lucky with “the 6th sense.”

Then it was down hill with movies like signs. Where Aliens who have the technology to cross vast distances of space and navigate to Earth, need crop circles as a guide to our major cities… which tend to be visible from space.

Then the fact the aliens land on a planet covered in 70% of what can kill them- without any sort of protection. (for simplicity’s sake, we’ll ignore the presence of WATER VAPOR in the air)

And finally, one of the aliens gets locked in a food pantry.

This was an example of an alien species that was too stupid to live.

Tina Brown– aka Piers Morgan in drag. Two smug Brits who know better about America than you or I do.

Give her this– she always intended to, and later did, become an American citizen. I don’t know if I could say the same about Pughe.

    • grais

Why on earth did she do that? Does she hate Great Britain even more than she hates the U.S.? Or did she sorta get run out on a rail for Piers-like ‘journalism’?

      • carmenta

        yup

  • Stephen L. Hall #NonquamTrump

Five years: Tea party, still working . . . Tina Brown, not so much.

  • Hey, That’s Pretty Good

Why do liberals hate anyone who doesn’t hate America?

And how’s that shilling for the fringe left working out for you Tina Brown?

And I remember libs once claiming that Newsweek was unbiased. Seems like their editor has a pretty biased opinion of the right. My mistake. FORMER editor. Libs ran that rag into the ground.

  • Hey, That’s Pretty Good

It’s funny that libs yell that the Tea Party is racist and hateful and violent. Yet the only people who ever actually exhibit that behavior are leftists!

Totally Awesome! Top that, $1 and lost money.

  • dr44

    Tina who?

  • Hey, That’s Pretty Good

Don’t forget guys, “unbiased” former news source Newsweek once said that Obama was “God of All Things.” Yeah, tell me again libs, why do you guys still deny that anyone on the left ever referred to Obama as God?

    • Perry

      The left is sickening.

    • Suzyqpie

This begs a photoshop. Waist up from the Newsweak cover, waist down from the golf ballerina knee-in-the-air shot.

    • BAW

I missed that cover and the “Why The Modern Presidency May Be Too Much For One Person To Handle” narrative.

Don’t remember that coming from the press since Carter was president and the press floated the idea. Don’t remember ever hearing it as an excuse for a Republican president.

I suppose they didn’t find the excuse necessary for Clinton because he had co-president Hillary to help him. (Of course it’s really because Clinton was at least a better politician and didn’t screw up absolutely everything like Carter and Obama.)

      • Frustrated Teacher

I will grant you that about Clinton. He could build consensus on a lot of issues and when he couldn’t he didn’t always blame others for it. THIS Preezy alienates anyone who he could possibly build consensus with then goes all stompy foot tantrum when he doesn’t get his way. He’s an idiot!

        • BAW

Oh, I didn’t mean to sound like I was giving Clinton that much credit. I just meant he knew how to keep his poll numbers up by doing whatever was most popular. Like vetoing welfare reform. He did it and did it but when it was clear the public overwhelmingly supported it, he signed it and somehow managed to take all the credit for it.

Maybe he built some consensus on something but I can’t think of an example. As I recall he was forced into doing whatever good he did.

And I think you are exactly right on “stompy foot.”

          • Frustrated Teacher

Keeping his ‘polls’ up was never Clinton’s problem, if you know what I mean….

    The Tea Party (in it’s rawest form) has been around for more than Five Years! Did anyone out there go to one of Glenn Beck’s Patriotic Political Rallies? I went to one in Clearwater Fl. back in April 2003, and a few months later, I went to one In Palm Bay, sponsored by a local Radio station. These people were waving the Stars and Stripes, Gadsden Flags, and all kinds of patriotic signs. But I digress; if it wasn’t the TEA Party back then, it was surely the grassroots foundation for it. Jawamax 8<{D}

    • mark kelley

I remember seeing on the local news in Austin texas (when GW Bush was president) a Tea Party rally. It was the first time I heard of calling a protest a tea party. I thought it was really a cool idea to call it that. They were protesting the first bail out.

Maybe it is considered formally 5 years old. Maybe that is the time it got national attention. Whatever the case, tea partiers have been around for more than 5 years!

  • notenoughtime

Maybe if Brown acted like she wanted a successful magazine, which means not making snarky, ignorant comments to at lease half of the audience you need to purchase your product, it might still exist. Seems to me this strategy was covered in marketing 101.

Somehow I don’t think so. And if I am not mistaken, wasn’t she born in Great Britain? I bet they breathed a collective sigh of relief when she left. I know I’d be thrilled to see her take her pompous %$% back to where she came from.

You listen to the tax attorney Michelle Bachman speak over and over in various shows like a…tax attorney. Composed, measured and intelligent. Somehow the left’s war on conservative women turned her into the Queen of rage? Has Tina Brown ever actually watched Bachman in interviews other than snippets cut out of context?
