Sanctuary Cities ain't what they used to be --> Check out fliers NYC is giving illegals at the border

(U.S. Customs and Border Protection's Rio Grande Valley Sector via AP, File)

It's been eye-opening watching Sanctuary Cities across the country freak out when governors like Abbott and DeSantis who deal with illegal immigrants crossing their borders every day try to treat them like Sanctuary Cities ... by you know, sending people who want to go there, there.

Hey, if they are so supportive of the idea that people can come into this country illegally and in huge waves, then they should be willing to step up and do their part as well.

Right?

That's the whole point ... unless you're New York City.

Seems they've taken it upon themselves to distribute fliers at the southern border telling illegals not to come to NYC.

Classy eh?

From The New York Times:

New York City will immediately begin discouraging asylum seekers from seeking refuge here, distributing fliers at the southern border that warn migrants there is “no guarantee” they will receive shelter or services, Mayor Eric Adams announced on Wednesday.

The city’s move is a sharp and somewhat unexpected departure from its long-held status as a sanctuary city, and as a place that guarantees a right to shelter.

“We have no more room in the city,” Mr. Adams said during a news conference at City Hall.

But you know, it's totally ok for cities along the southern border to run out of room and C'MON, it's not fair to expect them to actually be a Sanctuary City when they have no room and stuff.

YES! WHAT ABOUT THE POEM ON THE STATUE OF LIBERTY?! Shouldn't NYC want to be sent their tired and poor? Isn't that how this works?

Ahem.

Funny how quickly they change their tune when they actually have to DEAL with a situation.

When they can't just sit on Twitter and virtue-signal like a mofo.

Bingo.
