Yep. President Obama made a statement Thursday morning on the violence in Egypt. As Twitchy reported, journalists and protesters are being shot, churches are being burned and the death toll is rising.

He was late to speak, natch. This Twitter user guesses why:

That’s right: The “coup” word is still not being uttered.

Also assclowns? Lapdogs in the media.

Isn’t he so strong and dreamy?! Squee!

CBS’ Margaret Brennan thinks so!

Whatever, rubes! Y’all just don’t get the “diplomatic circles” nuance-y nuance.

Non-lapdogs rightly take the media to task.

AP enters the mix:

Tell us how you really feel!

What “news” did we get from Obama?

Pathetic. Paper Tiger POTUS strikes again.

What can we expect from him next?

    From Obama’s statement:

“Moreover, the goal of any political process should be a government that respects the rights of all people, majority and minority; that institutionalizes the checks and balances upon which democracy depends; and that places the interests of the people above party or faction.”

    He should try that here.

    • Billie Slash

      My thoughts exactly.

      “He should try that here.”

He did. He lies about everything everywhere.

  • AmericanMom

He won’t say the Muslim Brotherhood burning down Christian churches and slaughtering Christians is despicable. Protecting the MB (no matter what they do), is now foreign policy.

    • objectivefactsmatter

The future must not belong to those that slander the prophet of Islam.

      He warned us.

      • AmericanMom

He will be a muslim until his dying day. It must be tormenting him that sharia law is not the law of the land in America.

        • objectivefactsmatter

“He will be a muslim until his dying day. It must be tormenting him that sharia law is not the law of the land in America.”

There are all kinds of Muslims. He was born a Muslim, he’s a cultural Muslim and has not said or done anything that justifies anyone believing that he adopted Christianity while understanding that Christianity does not allow for the possibility that Islam is true.

He is therefore a cultural Muslim who either believes in Islam as well, making him an “Islamic Christian” (a Muslim, perhaps on a mission) or to him religions are just manifestations of culture. In which case he’s still a cultural Muslim. Not a Christian as he claims.

The main problem with all of this is that he lies so much about it, and makes strategic decisions that affect the entire globe, showing loyalty not just to the idea of Islam but to radical Muslim Brotherhood and other Sunni caliphate pursuers.

I don’t think he yearns for sharia for religious reasons but rather because he thinks in terms of some global sense of “democracy” as he understands it. He DOES NOT have a Western sense of democracy or any Western ideology. He’s a victim of Soviet propaganda.

He does not respect our constitution at all, and thinks we should compromise with Islamic notions of “justice.” Even though we know that “compromise” can only be one way and the end game would be full blown sharia, 0’Bama might not envision it that way having lived in Indonesia. That gave him a false sense of everything to do with how Jihadis live alongside infidels. He’s not a student of history.

He’s basically a globalist posing as a Christian for Christian voters, and a Muslim for his connections and affinity with Islam all mixed together in a neo-communist stew…full of rotten ingredients. But he thinks the smell is caused by the greedy white Christians.

          • AmericanMom

Excellent overview. I enjoyed reading it. You make valid points.

  • Fire and Adjust!

Of course he’s not going to call it a coup…………….. He’s probably going to blame a Rodeo Clown………..but don’t worry, the DOJ is already investigating the clown with more fervor than any investigation the DOJ has done to date………………. well, except for maybe the Trayvon Martin incident…………

    • autofixer

Maybe the Rodeo Clown is on probation and can be jailed for a year on a probation violation?

      • Fire and Adjust!

Quite possible………..but one thing is certain……….. the IRS is going to have a field day with the guy who wore the clown mask…………..oooopsss……… Obama Mask, I meant the rodeo clown who wore the Obama mask……….

    • TomJB

The clown made the fateful decision to leave his Black Panther beret at home that day…

  • autofixer

Obama condemns the violence, yet continues to use tortured language to keep from calling a coup, a coup. Not calling the coup, a coup, allows U.S. taxpayer funding to continue to the Egyptian government & military, which kills its own citizens.

    • objectivefactsmatter

“Not calling the coup, a coup, allows U.S. taxpayer funding to continue to the Egyptian government & military, which kills its own citizens.”

Right now they’re killing violent jihadis were are half the time killing each other in order to defame the Egyptian military.

      • William James Ward

As this Jihadist attack spreads it gives the Egyptian Military
the opportunity to rid Egypt of Islamist thugs. If only they
would spend some time protecting Christian Egyptians
against the murdering Islamists. This will grow and grow,
maybe this will be the last spark for the entire conflagration
        to take place……………….Willam

        • objectivefactsmatter

Even if 0’Bama does not literally hate those Christians, he thinks protecting them would simply cause more violence. Given how little anyone respects him as POTUS and how little anyone fears our military these days (because he is POTUS), it’s probably better for them that he keeps his mouth shut, unless he wants to change his whole MO as POTUS.

“This will grow and grow, maybe this will be the last spark for the entire conflagration to take place”

The jihadis know we are vulnerable, and their aggression depends entirely on their own capabilities. They may never get a better chance, but in the end they still might not be capable of doing more than harass us and keep up the infiltration efforts.

If we get a new POTUS like Allen West, all their gains can be easily reversed. We have the law on our side, and there are people fully capable of reversing their US domestic gains, and rectifying our foreign policy. We have the capabilities to do a lot better. Without question, our most dangerous enemies are citizens of the USA, and all are registered to vote at least once.

          • William James Ward

With a conservative law abiding POTUS it is quit
thinkable that our enemies within could be dealt
with and that theConstitution would be the guide
for reshaping government.I see severe problems
growing everywhere, turning on the evening news
is not as bad as Cairo but our Cities are just as
dangerous, something must give before we
appear as lacking in stability as the rest of the World.
            Your points are right on………………William

          • objectivefactsmatter

When 0’Bama failed to chastise violent occupy movements, that is when I realized how dangerous the guy is.

He hates America. He loves his vision for America’s Utopian future. He loves opportunities handed to him, and we know how he reacts when we expect actual results from those opportunities.

          • William James Ward

Obama’s America would be occupy camps border to
border and coast to coast. “He hates America”, yes,
and as he violates his oath of office and creates
chaos and funnels billions to his cronies he is a
happy camper and DC may sooner than later
look like Cairo if his depredations continue……William

  • ObamaFail

That’s not a surprise. Obama still refuses to call the Boston Bombing and the Fort Hood shooting a terrorist attack.

  • Insubordinate

Oh my. What if the strongly worded letter yields no results. Can we then expect (shudder) the sternly worded letter?

  • CO2 Producer

    From ABC News:

At least 700 people have died and more than 3,000 injured during the violent clashes that swept throughout Egypt Wednesday, according to the health ministry.

The Obama administration fears that cutting off financial and military aid to Egypt, the United States’ closest ally in the Arab World, could destabilize the region and jeopardize Israel’s security.

“America cannot determine the future of Egypt. That’s a task for the Egyptian people,” Obama said. “We don’t take sides with any particular party or political figure. I know it’s tempting inside of Egypt to blame the United States or the West or some other outside actor for what’s gone wrong.

“That kind of approach will do nothing to help Egyptians achieve the future that they deserve. We want Egypt to succeed. We want a peaceful, democratic, prosperous Egypt. That’s our interest. But to achieve that, the Egyptians are going to have to do the work,” he said.

But ABC omitted part of his statement between the last two paragraphs. Obama also said, “We’ve been blamed by the supporters of Morsi. We’ve been blamed…by the other side, as if we are supporters of Morsi.”

Listen to his statement, which can be heard here at Hot Air. The part that applies to the quote above starts at 4:52. Obama supported Morsi. Now he sounds a wee bit uncomfortable in trying to get us to forget that. ABC News dutifully helped him by omitting that part of his statement from the article.

    • World B. Free

Thanks for sharing. I find it sickening that our “press” would actively cover for any politician like this, especially a fatally incompetent bumbling stooge like Barack 0bama.

      • CO2 Producer

You bet. I was just as surprised to hear Obama hesitate and stumble a little at that part of his statement as I was that ABC omitted it from the article. Which of course means I wasn’t surprised at all.

      • David

My neighbor, a bumbling stooge, takes offense of being compared to Barack Obama. Take it back!

  • Republicanvet

Preezy was likely late after a horde of aides were teaching him to say coo rather than coop.

  • World B. Free

“Coop? What does this situation have to do with chickens?”
    — Barack Hussein 0bama, super genius

    • Dexter Alarius

If he calls it a Coop, he’ll have to send in the Marine Corpse.

  • David

Obama made some reference about churches. It was a weak statement as Christians are brutalized by the filthy, murdering muslims.

  • Zach Smith

I find it interesting that reporters are calling the coup d’état a “coup”, without qualification, despite the fact that Obama has refused to.

  • Randall Silverman

This about sums up all leftist “toughness”. We hit them with a major, and I mean MAJOR leaflet campaign, and while they’re reeling from that…
