And so it begins. Devastating news this morning, as reports of employers laying off employees come in. First, a Las Vegas employer has been forced to fire 22 employees due to Obama’s reelection.
More from CBS News:
LAS VEGAS (CBS Las Vegas) — A Las Vegas business owner with 114 employees fired 22 workers today, apparently as a direct result of President Obama’s re-election.
“David” (he asked to remain anonymous for obvious reasons) told Host Kevin Wall on 100.5 KXNT that “elections have consequences” and that “at the end of the day, I need to survive.”
Not “unexpectedly,” to anyone who has been paying attention.
More to come, yes. And it has already started. That Las Vegas employer is not alone. Small business owners on Twitter report that they are being forced to do the same.
This small business owner tries to explain to the wilfully ignorant.
That’s right. She is being called a “drama queen.” Because she is being forced to lay off employees due to the job-killing Obamacare regulations. Suck it up, small business owner! She didn’t build that anyway, right, President Obama?
And that’s it right there. They, including President Obama, don’t understand business. He, and many surrounding him, have never had to meet a payroll in their lives. They don’t get it. At all. Instead, they lash out and attack this job-creating small business owner.
Of course it is. Unlike the caricatures of business owners that the Left have in their heads, business owners care. They aren’t maniacally laughing and twirling old-timey villain mustaches as they lay people off. They are devastated and heartbroken that they have to do so.
Elections have consequences. And the consequences are dire.
Our thoughts and prayers are with these hard-working small business owners, who are the backbone of this nation, and their employees who will now join the growing ranks of the unemployed.
Update: The Las Vegas small business owner is also being attacked:
Um. You are the one that is deluded. It is happening because of Obamacare and President Obama’s re-election. These business owners were hoping and praying for a Romney win, and a way to ease the untenable burdens placed on them by these regulations, so that they would not have to do this. Small business owners are heartbroken over having to lay off employees, who are like family to them. They are devastated.
