Taking the prize for the most despicable alleged person on MSNBC (and that is a tough competition)? Chris Matthews. That’s right, he hailed Hurricane Sandy … because it helped Obama. Lives Shmives! What really matters is Obama and his re-election.

https://twitter.com/therexreport/status/266131207551602688

More from the Daily Caller:

“I’m so glad we had that storm last week. ‘Cause I think the storm was one of those things. No. Politically, I should say. Not in terms of hurting people. The storm brought in possibilities for good politics.”

Even Scary Larry is shaking his head. You’re not supposed to say it, Chris.

It would be unbelievable, except we all already know that Chris Matthews is a soulless ghoul.

Twitter users are rightly disgusted and outraged by his despicable remarks.

https://twitter.com/Airfrench/status/266162574310121472

To Chris Matthews and his fellow travelers, the end justifies the means. Even if the means is lost lives.

https://twitter.com/jdosu/status/266163976377876480

The repugnant Matthews then tried to backpedal on Twitter this morning.

Twitter users aren’t buying it. Obviously? Obviously you are a cretin, sir.

https://twitter.com/JoyDeMello/status/266167193417416704

And more pitiful “clarification.”

Baloney. And everyone knows it.

#FireChrisMatthews is starting up.

Indeed. We’d tell Matthews to seek help, but obviously it’s too late.

Matthews tweeted this the day before election day.

Ironic. Because, clearly, he doesn’t have one.

Update:

Matthews continued his backpedaling with an apology on “Hardball” Wednesday night. He followed it up with a segment that had guest Bill Maher likening Romney and his supporters to Nazis.

Liberalism (at least its modern form) is primarily defined by its elevation of “the state” over the individual. In fact, many of them see mankind in general as simply a parasite on “mother earth”. In that kind of mentality, pain, suffering, and death are irrelevant because as long as it occurs for the benefit of, or as a result from, the rise of the power of the state, it’s just “someone else” who doesn’t matter to them.

Liberalism is a sinister exercise in moral dizziness vulgarly cloaked as
an exercise in sincerity. It is also a spectacle of dismal political
cowardice masking itself as a expression of “dissenting” bravery and a
doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly
promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the
proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean
        end.

  • $30423294

When I was young, I was personally troubled by the totalitarian history of the 20th century, and I wanted to understand it.

The biggest obstacle to my understanding was that I couldn’t imagine living in one of the European or Eastern bloc countries, I tried to imagine living in a neighborhood, and hearing my neighbors say “you know this Smith, our leader, is a good man because he is going to kill our enemies, the hootoos with their light colored skin.”

I couldn’t make that real to myself, it didn’t fit with my ideal of human nature.

Today I’m older and I understand it. We’re living it. Our neighbors call us obscene names, they spit on us and mock us and threaten us with death.

In all sincerity, this feels surreal to me.

I suppose if there is a redemptive aspect of my experience, it is that I came to a fuller understanding of human nature by connecting passionately with my faith in the last 20 years. I accepted and understood that human nature is in fact broken, incapable of being healed by the next utopian theory, or by a wizard. Our brokenness can only be healed one soul at a time, and only through the sheer grace of the creator of this universe. I had understood this just in time, before this terrible force gripped America.

You know what? The whole religious thing? It’s not crazy to me anymore. It’s stark reality. What’s crazy is that my neighbor looks at me as someone disgusting and vile and stupid, as someone who should be dead. That’s crazy. That’s America, 2012.

    • http://twitter.com/thetugboatphil TugboatPhil

Scholar, there is one major difference in your first observation. We, the people being vilified and spat upon, are heavily armed and could easily take out a large percentage of the societal dregs that consider themselves to be at the top of the food chain.

So far, it is our decency, which they lack, that has held us in check. If society begins to devolve into chaos, that decency will stretch beyond the breaking point. Union thugs and “anarchists” operate with bravado because they expect that we will play by the rules. When the rules are gone, Katie bar the door.

It’s ironic and it’s an open threat.

It’s ironic, or coincidental, that two hurricanes defined this general election. Why act shocked. Chris Matthews just did a reveal of his character and beliefs that is basically the same as most true liberals. For them, the end always justifies the means. For Chris Matthews, and by extension Barrack Obama, Hurricane Sandy was a great distraction for Mitt Romney, a chance for Obama to “act Presidential” and “caring”, and couldn’t have come at a better time. Many of us want to think that the left wing in the nation are just confused or “misguided” but with good intentions. Sorry to tell you this, but some are no better than Stalin when it comes to achieving power, retaining power, and the ultimate mis-use of power.

Point: Chris Matthews is one of the biggest RACIST there is, always spouting off about it. Tells me that he is the one that has a problem with race. The election is over. The Democrats won and the Republicans lost. As the years go by each party will be on the winning and losing end, BUT Chris Mathews will ALWAYS be a loser. Bias is one thing and it does seem to run rampant these days but Mathews is a disgrace and how anyone can still take him seriously as a journalist is beyond all reason. What bothers me even more is the network retaining him as an employee. He has lost any credibility he might once have had. How they consider him an asset and they obviously do defies all comprehension. People used to have allegiance to networks (My mom only watched NBC) regardless of programming, but now because of media being more mobile and surrounding us everywhere we go, the networks have to be competitive and NBC is destroying their chances by displaying this blatant, unhinged personality. I urge you to fight back where it hurts. Don’t watch their shows and phone or email your objections to their corporate offices. I guess Boeing layoffs are good enough as retribution.

Thanks to all the kind folks who help Chris out following his most unfortunate misspeaking. I’m sure you all did the same for Akin and Mourdoch or exploit rape victims.

    Thanks again.

I disagree with Barney Franken’s tweet “Chris Matthews does not deserve his position as a tv pundit”. Barney, Look at the company he keeps at MSNBC: Schultz, Sharpton, Maddog. He’s heads and tails better than them. (Crap — I put Sharpton name in with th e other two. Please Chrissy please: don’t call me a racist now.) Matthews is a sick man. I would not be shocked if he sees a therapist regularly and has morphed into the person he has become as a result of drugs used to combat depression/mania, bipolar disorder, or even schizophrenia. I say this sincerely. Thus, I think he wil be a very happy person for at least the next two years as he gets to interview regualrly another sick man (no not Jesse Jax Jr — he’s still in the Mayo Clinic), but Alan Grayson.

NJ and NY vote for the prick I and have no sympathy for them. Cold night coming jerkoffs! I got your storm right here!

He was obviously ecstatic over anything that could take the bright lights away from the Benghazi cover-up.

    Thomas.
You are right; “threaten” was a poor word choice.

Bill Clinton jokingly thanked timothy McVey for the OK city bombing. “It was the best thing my campaign could ask for” on a plane to be with the grieving.
