Twitter’s curse jar is going to be mighty full after Friday’s House Ways and Means Committee hearing on the IRS’ targeting of conservative groups. The unreal just keeps on comin’.

Yes, acting IRS commissioner Steven Miller testified that the “be on the lookout” list maintained by the IRS to target conservative groups was “absolutely not illegal.” Oh, it “shouldn’t happen” and stuff, he said in response to Rep. Tom Price’s question. But “horrible customer service” isn’t illegal, guys!

Hey, can one of the congressmen grilling Miller follow up with this question?

Update:

How ’bout that? Now Miller just isn’t sure. It’s not his “area.”

  • SleeperG

Apparently Miller has never heard of the Hatch Act

    • MyrmidoNOT

      Apparently ‘not’…suspect “you” are correct!

Nor does he comprehend the word “ethics”…
      …or “criminal”…
      …or “targeting”…
…or “what (exactly) IS “my” area (in HIS department).

      Dumba$$ toady. Selected by “who”…exactly?? 😉

    • ajdecarlo

Hatch Act only applies to conservatives in the military forces, apparently.

He should start looking for a deal. He is far safer in custody than out in public. I think that MAY be starting to dawn on him now. When you really look at the whole situation, RICO may apply. This is a rather broad coverup of possibly criminal behavior. Of course, testicles are needed……..

  • Steve_J

That guy is a f****** a****** with s*** for brains. If this gets moderated that’s fine.

    • rennyangel2

Not even shyt for brains. That would conclude he had brains.

Unless Steve is implying that the cavity where brains SHOULD be is devoid of grey matter and is filled instead with fecal material. Just a thought!

Donkey squeeze. They’re just all donkey squeeze. Refer to Neal Boortz for the definition of “squeeze” . I heard Boortz using that word instead of the other word meaning excrement

I heard (I believe on FOX) that the first lawsuits are being prepared. Jay Sekowlow(sp?) was on with Megyan Kelly, and he has 27 clients that were targeted by the IRS; 10 clients still have not gotten thru the IRS bull (after 3yrs).

    • LeftistsStink

Yes, but who ultimately pays? Taxpayers. These jerks need to be held PERSONALLY accountable as well….and the Dems should have to forfeit the election.

      • rennyangel2

No, I mean personal lawsuits. A teacher can be personally sued and have his/her house taken,. pension appropriated, and bankrupted. That’s what I mean.

        • LeftistsStink

          Oh. Right on, then!

        • LeftistsStink

It seems agents can only be sued personally if they are acting outside their official scope of duties. Could be very tough to nail them personally on that.

          • rennyangel2

Am not so sure. So far, no one admits anyone gave any message or order for ind. agents to oppress groups applying for non-tax status. The implication is people did this “on their own” and if they didn’t, then more fingers will be pointed and more scandal will be produced.

  • fishydude

It is only illegal when a republican is president.
Bubba Clinton did it with impunity. Nixon was about to get impeached just for attempting it (among other things).
Creating plausible deniability has before high art for Bummer.

Miller is already on his way out. Who really needs to be testifying before Congress are Sarah Hall Ingram and Lois Lerner. #mytwocents

I read somewhere that he has a week on the job before his “effective immediately” resignation kicks in??? Can the be true?

  • Zane Henry

The ends always justify the means, right Miller? That’s a good apparatchik!

What is it going to take to get the low info crowd to realize what they’ve done to this country? Maybe when the admin has some beef with the hollyweirdos or cuts off checks to black Christians on welfare. Until then I guess we’re all in for a rougher and rougher ride.

It may be time for a tax revolt in this country, and I don’t toss around terms like revolt on a whim. This week and a half has been a long slide down the razor blade into the pool of alcohol.

Oh, and my guess is that nothing will come of any of this. Disgusting.

    • OLLPOH

Of course not…some game is on, dippin’ in the pool, watchin DWS, the view, etc. which is more important.

Of course he doesn’t think it’s illegal. He’s working for an administration who believes the law isn’t something that applies to them.

  • RightThinking1

Synopsis of Miller testimony: “I don’t know, unless I did know, in which case I don’t recall.”

  • ExSF

If it isn’t illegal for the federal government to deliberately target specific, legitimate groups of citizens, it’s probably because nobody ever thought that such an outrageous breach of the public trust could possibly happen in America. Ergo there wouldn’t be any need to actually pass a law against it. Guess we were wrong about that.

  • porgiefirefighter

Horrible customer service is not illegal. If it was, I would have had a clerk at The Home Depot arrested this morning.

Who is this jackwagon, Steven Miller, and how did he get to be the IRS Commissar. That was some the lamest, hollow, incoherent, weasel word testimony ever. Sounds like he is vying for a more comfortable position under the bus. It will no doubt get crowded.

    • neoface

I had the same experience with a clerk at Home Depot, every time I asked question he had to check with his manager or said its not his field of expertise.

      • Paladin

I went there to buy some paint two years ago.
“I’d like a gallon of Glidden interior white paint with a semi-gloss finish.”
“Certainly, what color would you like?”
        “White.”
“Oh, yes. You just said that. What type of finish?”
        “Semi-gloss.”
“Okay. Do you know what brand you want?”

        “Yes. Glidden please.”
“Will you be using it inside or outside?”
        “Inside.”
“Okay. Take a look at this chart while I get the paint and see if you can decide the base color.”
        “This one right here.”
        “Oh, the white one?”
        “Yes…”
“You just said that didn’t you?”
        “Twice before.”
“And what type of finish again?”
        “Semi-gloss, please.”
I purchased the paint, got it home and started painting my window sills before I realized the finish was “flat”.

I don’t think I’ve purchased anything from them since.

        • OLLPOH

Yes, Sir we have had many of the same experiences.

I’m surprised he didn’t declare “illegal” a pejorative term …

Well he was allowed to resign. He hasn’t been charged, isn’t under criminal investigation, why would he think it’s illegal? Character does matter! Simply knowing right from wrong does matter!

  • Axelgreaser

THIS MAN MILLER HAD THE GALL TO FLIP ‘TUDE’ to the entire nation. He might as well have hoisted his middle finger, starting out as Hillary did: running the show, drawing a line in the sand and then delivering a string of uncooperative stonewalls: ‘I don’t remember, I don’t have that name, I forget, I’ll have to get back to you, I’m not going to asnwer that.” Worse ‘dimentia’ than Pelosi and Reid combined. But a few good men quickly tired of this and verbally grabbed and shook him like a rag doll and that was ‘sweet’ enough, but will he be the one John Boehner referred to? “What I want to know, is who’s going to jail?” He must have gone into that cross exam bolstered by some strong advice: “Don’t worry, just get up there, answer the questions and, hey, lay low for a while and, hehe, (a friendly poke in the ribs) then come on back *wink* and, you know, we’ll put you to work somewhere in the bowels of the machine and you can ‘double dip’ on the stupid taxpayers.” It didn’t help.

Gratefully, unlike the Hillary Clinton botch, Republican’s gave Miller more than a ‘friendly poke in the ribs,’ a few nearly took his head off which is what this liar deserved after what he and his predesessor, the real thug in this episode, Sarah Hall Ingram did to conservatives. LOOK-> theweek.com/article/index/244369/the-irs-scandal-is-sarah-hall-ingram-the-next-head-to-roll They literally denied citizens their rights under the U.S. Constitution and who knows? They may have changed the course of many state level elections during the General Election time frame. The IRS in fact, treated conservatives like women before they were granted the vote, blacks before they were granted their rightful freedoms. And overall, it was all done to protect their true base they feed off of, a permanent under class which they need to stay in power and insure profligate theft in perpetuity.

Besides being inveterate prevaricator’s, Democrat’s are just plain evil. And we want these criminals meddling in our health records!
