The New York Times is under fire this morning over this piece on Neera Tanden, head of the Center for American Progress, that used quotes from her 78-year-old mother to paint the Hillary cheerleader in a negative light:
I see what you did there, @nytimes. You interviewed her mom about what a fighter @neeratanden is, and then used those quotes against her in your article.

NYT clearly ambushed Neera's mom here…..not fair, and not right. She's not a public person, and obviously had no idea what she was saying would end up in the paper. Could have written this story and made the same points without embarrassing her mother.
