The Daily Beast has an “EXCLUSIVE” interview with elderly socialist Bernie Sanders where he claims white voters were “uncomfortable” voting for black candidates in Florida and Georgia:
EXCLUSIVE: @BernieSanders says race contributed to why candidates @andrewgillum and @StaceyAbrams lost: Whites "uncomfortable" voting for black candidates https://t.co/DGtpn8qhlQ

You see, according to the former presidential candidate, voters in these states have never had the chance to “vote for an African-American” before Tuesday:
“I think you know there are a lot of white folks out there who are not necessarily racist who felt uncomfortable for the first time in their lives about whether or not they wanted to vote for an African-American,” Sanders told The Daily Beast https://t.co/q1bu6SmGaz

Well, for starters, Barack Obama won Florida in 2008 and 2012 so this is stupid, at least as Florida is concerned:
Who did Florida vote for president for in 2008/2012?
Some white dude, probably.
Facts are racist™

But maybe Sanders can explain why African-Americans in Utah and Michigan also lost. Racist white Dems?
It's the same reason John James lost in Michigan, and Mia Love lost in Utah.
And, heck… Why the race was so close in Texas, where the Hispanic candidate squeaked through. https://t.co/DLsde7Ux7q

Must have been an oversight on the part of The Daily Beast:
I'm more than a little curious why @JohnJamesMI didn't come up in this discussion. Or Mia Love? https://t.co/FcrHfDwpK4

Rather than focus on race, maybe Dems should focus on their GOTV efforts because they left a lot of votes at home on the couch in Miami-Dade and Broward counties:
It's time once again for the Miami Dade County Roll Call of Shame. Statewide turnout was 62%. Miami-Dade underperformed again, with only a 56.89% turnout, similar in Broward. If both counties turned out like the rest of the state, Gillum and Nelson win. 1/x

What’s even funnier that libs are calling out the out-of-touch 77-year-old because if what he says is true, then it’s 100% racist. But he says it’s “not necessarily racist”:
This is literally racism https://t.co/vK6k6kcKWk

::sigh:: Bernie, that’s racism. https://t.co/jweUJ6Em4l

The Bernie Sanders formulation is that people are progressive and not racist, but didn’t vote for progressives because they weren’t ready to vote for black candidates: https://t.co/XhtvbNnxCp

That is literally the definition of racism, Bernie. Racism doesn't have to be *conscious* discrimination. In fact, it often isn't. https://t.co/HFKiUf9Qi8

Good luck with 2020, Bernie:
Can we put #Bernie2020 to bed now?
Good meeting. https://t.co/JJnmncE3AO
