As we told you last night, protests erupted in Charlotte, N.C. after police shot and killed an African-American man named Keith Lamont Scott. What exactly happened still isn’t clear with police saying Scott was armed while witnesses say he was simply reading a book in his car waiting to pick up his son from school.
We’ve learned this morning that the officer who shot Scott was also black:
