It was 47 years ago today that hundreds of millions of people were on the edge of their seats as Apollo 11 landed softly and safely on the surface of the moon.
For the past few days, the second man to walk on the moon, Buzz Aldrin, has shared pictures and video leading up to today’s anniversary of the first moon landing:
