President Trump’s nominee to be the next director of the CIA, Gina Haspel, faced questions from a Senate committee today. Among those asking questions (and perhaps grandstanding a bit ahead of a possible 2020 run) was California Sen. Kamala Harris, who was insisting Haspel answer a particular question with simply “yes” or “no”:
