President Trump’s feud with Sen. Bob Corker continued today. First off, the president had this to say in tweets about the Republican senator from Tennessee:
Bob Corker, who helped President O give us the bad Iran Deal & couldn't get elected dog catcher in Tennessee, is now fighting Tax Cuts….
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) October 24, 2017
…Corker dropped out of the race in Tennesse when I refused to endorse him, and now is only negative on anything Trump. Look at his record!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) October 24, 2017
Isn't it sad that lightweight Senator Bob Corker, who couldn't get re-elected in the Great State of Tennessee, will now fight Tax Cuts plus!

Sen. Corker fired back in a way that could make him one of The Resistance’s new favorite Republicans:

Corker just now: "The President has great difficulty with the truth on many issues." https://t.co/GnPoByj9IL

Sen. Bob Corker: I would not support Donald Trump in another election https://t.co/sRvgjTmRA9

Q. Senator, do you regret supporting the president? Corker: “Well, what do you think?” https://t.co/uAnKOA1hi5

BREAKING: Sen Bob Corker unloads on Trump: "The debasement of our nation is what he will be remembered most for." All but calls him a liar.

It’s a little easier for Corker to talk like that because he’s retiring and no jobs in the Trump administration appear to be in his future:
Congratulations to Bob Corker on his upcoming Profile In Courage award for saying things after there's risk for doing so. https://t.co/iqHnaSh48w

If Corker had decided to stay in the Senate, he'd still think these things but he wouldn't say them. He'd kiss Trump's ass & campaign w/him.
— Drew McCoy (@_Drew_McCoy_) October 24, 2017
Corker supported him and wanted to be his Secretary of State https://t.co/i7SzhC3Fe3
— Ben Shapiro (@benshapiro) October 24, 2017
Hillary Clinton’s former campaign spokesman Brian Fallon declared a winner:
Corker is one of the few people who, after being a target for Trump's taunts, emerged looking stronger because of how he handled it.
— Brian Fallon (@brianefallon) October 24, 2017
That’s hardly a surprising conclusion considering the source, but there’s disagreement with that judgment:
I’m not sure that’s right. He has only fought back after deciding not to run again. That kills credibility.

He's running for office. Hello? He is running for president. Put that in your mind before applause. This is self serving. Don't be fooled. https://t.co/HZV7IjdVY3

And we probably haven’t seen the end of the Trump/Corker feud.
