In Iowa, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz picked up Glenn Beck’s endorsement for president. Beck explained why today:

Cruz was at a loss for words:

Beck also made his position clear when it comes to Hillary Clinton:

  • Mark1971

“I have prayed for the next George Washington – I believe I have found him”

    Dude, get a grip.

    • Penny✓ItsSoFluffy! #GoBolts!

      Indeed.

    • http://thelongversion.com/ TheLongVersion

      Dude study George Washington…

    • tops116 ✓Quipper

Indeed. I like Cruz, but that’s way too much. It actually reminds me of what Dubya said towards the end of his administration. A reporter asked him how he thought he’d be perceived in history, and he said he was reading a book about Washington–noting people are still discussing his pros and cons centuries later. Besides, a two-term president (particularly a Founding Father) is in a much different league than any candidate.

    • Rosalie

You need to get a grip. He’s talking about a true leader in very dire times.

    • tjp77

Yeah, come on. Cruz seems like a solid enough conservative, but the next George Washington? Ummmm no.

Insane statements like that are just going to turn people off.

    • Johnny Sins

As The Jebster would say: Glenn Beck is unhinged!!

    • interestedobserver2

While I’m a Cruz fan all the way, this comparison is as bootless as Doug Giles comparing Trump to Jesus.

Ted Cruz is a great man, who has the potential to be a great President, but really…

It appears Glenn Beck has snapped out of his nutty phase and recognizes a real conservative again.

I don’t particularly like Palin either.

    • https://twitter.com/rockinranger81 Ben Bollman

He may recognize a conservative but he is still freaking nutty.

Beck… just go away. Seriously. Don’t you have some teddy bears and soccer balls to distribute to the MS13 members and other illegals flowing across the border?? Another “health issue” to exploit? Or perhaps another church to go to asking the members to accept Syrian refugees into their own homes?

  • FreedomFighter

    Cruz has my vote

    • Spinmamma

He will have mine if Dr. Carson goes down in flames.

      • idalily

Carson has gone down in flames. He peaked too early, and I doubt he can come back from that. What he should do, IMO, is bow out and endorse Cruz. Many of his supporters would cross over, I think.

        • Spinmamma

          It’s early yet.

          • idalily

I know, but I’m hoping he bows out before Iowa. He doesn’t have any chance to win it, IMO, and as a Cruz fan, I want those Carson crossover votes. 🙂

    • rkdehj1947

      Mine too!! 🙂

    • https://geekpolitics.liberty.me/ Curly

My 2nd after Rand Paul. Strong constitutionalist who leans libertarian.

      • idalily

I have wondered how they would do as a ticket. Nor sure they’d win with that, but it would be a good balance, IMO. Libertarians might not be so apprehensive about Cruz’s religious beliefs if Rand was on the ticket with him. And heads would explode on the left and in the GOP. Could be fun. Sadly, I’m not sure it would be winnable.

  • Penny✓ItsSoFluffy! #GoBolts!

“I am officially endorsing Ted Cruz to become the first Hispanic president! @tedcruz #iacaucus”

Was the Hispanic qualifier really necessary??

    • Stephen

      Keep reaching…

      • Penny✓ItsSoFluffy! #GoBolts!

I’m a Cruz supporter and just feel it was unnecessary to point out Ted’s racial background. What was the point? As someone who is of a mixed race background, I see Ted as an American, nothing more. Not Hispanic, not Hispanic-American, just an American like myself.

        • meangirl

Ted’s race is white. His father is Hispanic. (ethical group) Hispanics are… all of Latin America… Mexico and bellow who were born in countries where the language is Spanish. It’s a language thing. For example, Brazilians are NOT Hispanic. They are Latin Americans but not Hispanics. They speak Portuguese.

        • Stephen

Fair enough. I see it as a fact, he would be the first Hispanic president. Doesn’t score points, just fact.

          • Penny✓ItsSoFluffy! #GoBolts!

I can go with that. 🙂

          • Penny✓ItsSoFluffy! #GoBolts!

I can go with that. 🙂

        • JosephBloughs ✓Viagrafied

I read that as a tongue-in-cheek dig at the Left, who are always telling us the only thing that ever matters is race, gender, or sexual preference. Which works just peachy until they conflict with each other. I might add. I’ve heard enough from Beck to know that he knows that.

        • http://thelongversion.com/ TheLongVersion

I guess the concept of a historic event eludes you…

        • Billygoat

          You forgot Canadian

    • American Conscience

Is that a problem? Does race bother you? He will indeed be the first Hispanic President. Facts dear, are not qualifiers.

      • Penny✓ItsSoFluffy! #GoBolts!

I didn’t believe race or ethnicity had to be pointed out when Cruz’s principles and positions on the issues are what’s important. Stating that he’s gonna be the first Hispanic is unnecessary IMHO. Stick to what matters. RACE shouldn’t matter.

        • JV

think of it as reminding all those “cross over” voters where identity politics matter

        • Eva_Galley

I’m with you, Penny. It struck me as a bit unnecessary as well.

          • Penny✓ItsSoFluffy! #GoBolts!

            Thank you, Eva. 🙂

    • meangirl

I think when it comes to politics yes it is. He would benefit from Hispanic voters. More votes i guess

    • grais

      Yeah, I hate that shit.

    • JV

      yea – why not

    • tops116 ✓Quipper

No, it wasn’t at all. That said, if Cruz (or Rubio for that matter) becomes the nominee, I will snark at Democrats who’ll be voting for Hillary or Bernie along those lines, as a little payback for their “you’re a racist if you don’t support Obama” hectoring. Identity politics are terrible, but Democrats are asking for the mockery after they got on their high horses in 2008 and never came down.

      • Penny✓ItsSoFluffy! #GoBolts!

Yes, they are definitely asking for it. 🙂

I understand the desire to rub the dems’ faces in ID politics and all, but I just don’t feel it’s necessary. The payback they would get for NOT supporting Cruz or Rubio, though, would be hysterical! It would be fun to throw that card in their ugly mugs.

      • http://IKnowBO.com/ Slam1263

Wait, are you saying that it will be OK to give Democrats a new suit of Tar & Feathers?
        Count me in!

    • FranklinWasRight

Beck is not genuine. It doesn’t surprise me at all that he would stoop to using the same identity politics we blast the left for using.

      • Penny✓ItsSoFluffy! #GoBolts!

Beck is definitely anything but genuine.

        • idalily

I think Beck is genuine. He’s also nuts.

          • Penny✓ItsSoFluffy! #GoBolts!

            Tee hee! Nuts is right.

          • idalily

The sad thing is that I used to listen to his radio show, WAY back, before he got deep into poltics, and he was funny as hell. I don’t know what happened to the guy.

          • Penny✓ItsSoFluffy! #GoBolts!

Like I said, his cheese done fell off his cracker.

    • http://www.unpczone.com Chris Carter

Eh, just another way to dig it in how white the Dems are. Too bad he didn’t point out that Hillary’s VP-in-training Castro is having to learn Spanish because he doesn’t know any despite yammering on about how proud he is to be Hispanic. And remember when Mark Halperin tried to trick Cruz by making him say something in Spanish during that interview and Cruz did it perfectly without thinking about it?

      • Penny✓ItsSoFluffy! #GoBolts!

Oh yeah. I heard about the La Raza spawn having to learn Spanish. What a turd. Lol!!!

    • demsdoublestandard

That’s a big turn off for me saying it like that. Coming off of Obama and all his race wars….I’m just sick of it. Who gives a rats rear? I just want someone elected who loves the US and wants what’s best for her. We cannot afford for it to keep going the way it’s going.

Could someone explain how Cruz, who I think is the best choice, is eligible as a natural born citizen? I’ve read the statute that describes it, and I don’t see how he fits any of the definitions. https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/8/1401

    • Telos ✓ᴿᵃᵈᶦᶜᵃˡᵀʳᵃᵈᶦᵗᶦᵒⁿᵃˡᶦˢᵗ

Will birthers offer their proof of being natural-born citizens? No birther can, because there’s no official birth certificate that declares who’s natural-born or not.

    • NRPax
      • http://www.libertynewsonline.com/regional_301.php RTater

So he’s eligible as a natural born citizen via his mother who was a US citizen? (e)
        a person born in an outlying possession of the United States of parents one of whom is a citizen of the United States who has been physically present in the United States or one of its outlying possessions for a continuous period of one year at any time prior to the birth of such person;

This is the element of the statute that makes him eligible?

I think he must have figured this out before deciding to run, and he’s a lot smarter than I am. I just want to make sure this isn’t a disaster waiting to happen.

        • NRPax

Anyone who complains should be reminded that our current President was born to a woman that was an American citizen and then cordially invited out for a cup of STFU.

        • Spinmamma

There is some dispute among legal scholars, but NRPax comment below is where I stand on it.

        • Unclassifiable

Well if he gets by Trump and wins the nomination and then gets zinged by some judicial ledgermain Trump could always jump in as a 3rd party provided all of this happens in a timely fashion.

          Let’s hope it doesn’t.

    • bil_g
    • JosephBloughs ✓Viagrafied

Well we could start by asking Trump himself http://www.mediaite.com/tv/donald-trump-has-now-flip-flopped-twice-on-ted-cruzs-eligibility/ , whose opinion on this is about as fickle and inconsistent as his history of conservative thought.

  • twfuller

Well, with so many Benedict Arnolds in the Republican Party, we need more George Washingtons; more people of that character, determination, resolve, grit and with the conservative morals needed to lead our country down the right path.

    • Steve__Jacobson

I think George Washington was the only President who didn’t belong to a political party.

  • nomorelies343

He is flawed but probably the best option

    • Telos ✓ᴿᵃᵈᶦᶜᵃˡᵀʳᵃᵈᶦᵗᶦᵒⁿᵃˡᶦˢᵗ

They are all flawed. There will never be a candidate with a 100% purity rating. Ted Cruz has the most conservative record though if you get the average ratings from multiple websites that rate politicians, such as Conservative Review, ACU, etc.

      • JP

I agree that they’re all flawed and I agree that Cruz has the most conservative record. I just think that electability matters too, and I think Rubio, (who is also solidly conservative, despite what nutty Trumpers say, ) is just a lot more electable – he does much better with moderate Republicans, independent and swing voters, and no matter what anyone says, you need those voters to win. It’s just simple math. I know some people think it’s great that Cruz isn’t well liked by his colleagues, that he stands up to the ‘establishment’ senators, etc. I don’t really see that as a plus though. But with Cruz getting Beck’s endorsement, and Rubio getting the Des Moines Register’s, I’m hoping maybe the Trump balloon deflates a little. A Rubio-Cruz race to the finish would be excellent.

        • idalily

A Cruz-Rubio ticket would be okay with me. A Rubio-Cruz ticket, not so good, but…gulp…acceptable. A Donald Trump/anybody ticket? I’ll have to hold my nose and close my eyes when I punch that ticket.

          • JP

Sorry I just couldn’t punch a ticket for the Donald. I’d have to vote 3rd party.

          • idalily

I’m only able to do it by thinking about Hillary as a possible president.

But Cruz supports NONE of those. He did support H1-b visas, but has researched deeper and changed his mind. What does Trump support? Whatever happens to benefit Trump at that moment. He is a purely political animal, but since he’s not an actual politician, you Trump supporters are willing to ignore his very nature.

“Tell me what have the Republican Establishment done to make America better or to stop Obama from destroying it?”

And that has what to do with Cruz or anything else? Oh, right, absolutely nothing. Stop deflecting from the basic fact that Trump is a lifelong liberal.

And, by the way, if you have such a problem with the Establishment, take it up with Trump:

          https://youtu.be/we_abDLLJ6c?t=26m18s

Evidently, Trump will fight the Establishment by working with them.

“Remember this Trump is not own by the donor class.”

Yeah, he just owes money to every bank in New York.

        • globalcrap

Trump open up a can of worms about the O Bogus borders , but Trump sided with O Bogus , and he is good friends with the Benghazi Clinton’s. Money people ,stick with money people.

          • coolercoleman

Business owners always support politicians from both parties. Whoever wins can reward you or punish you. Who is the Republican establishment loyal to? Don’t tell me it’s the voters. There is a revolution going on and the voters will never believe the promises form the Republican establishment again. One thing for sure is if Trump wins it will spell the end to the Republican Establishment control over the party. Trump doesn’t need money. The only thing for him to gain is the fame that would come from turning this country around.

          • Darth Venomous✓unmedicated

Okay, so let’s put it in a way that might click here:

If I feel by voting for Cruz will allow a RINO slip in, than I will vote for Trump.

So, therefore, in order to prevent a RINO from taking office, you’re willing to vote…for a RINO.

            Ooooooooooo-kay.

          • idalily

The GOP establishment has come out in support of Trump. Haven’t you been paying attention?

        • idalily

Trump IS the donor class. He is as RINO as they come. Why does this myth of Trump-the-Incorruptible-Conservative persist, despite all the evidence to the contrary?

          • coolercoleman

What can the donor class offer Trump, and how can he be controlled by them? The establishment Republicans are as dependent on the donor class as the Democrats are dependent on the entitlement class.

          • idalily

Are you seriously asking this question? The president has enormous influence on government contracts, pushing legislation, etc. Do you REALLY think Trump, who has openly admitted buying politciians, wouldn’t reward those who supported him and punish those who didn’t? He is completely hand and glove with the donor class, and the support he’s getting from McConnell, et al, shows that very clearly. Wake up!

Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin are pretty kooky, although I’ll give Beck the edge….nutjob extraordinaire.

    • tops116 ✓Quipper

I give the edge to Sarah because of her “art of the dill” line and the fact that she was so incoherent during her speech (to the point of sounding drunk).

  • tops116 ✓Quipper

This endorsement means nothing to me. I’m already supporting Cruz. Beck is a blowhard that’s good in small doses, though at least he called out Trump’s liberal history for the last six months. Contrast that with Rush and Hannity, who have been debasing themselves to suck up to Trump (Hannity far more so).

    • Penny✓ItsSoFluffy! #GoBolts!

That’s why I can;t listen to either one of them. Gave up on Hannity after all of his “I take martial arts” BS. Rush is probably trying to keep in trump’s good graces so he doesn’t lose his golf outings at whatever trump course is near him.

I guess I am a little jaded (ok maybe a lot jaded). I just don’t get emotionally wrapped up in a given candidate. To paraphrase what was mentioned earlier in the thread, they all got warts.

Regardless of who you like, the critical issue is which GOP candidate can change a significant portion of Obama voters to vote for them.

Oh sure we could argue about who did not vote last time and fantasize about knowing why they sat out. But that is exactly what such thinking would be — fantasy.

The fact is what we know is how many voted for Obama and how many voted for McCain and Romney and where those votes were cast. The GOP lost.

So inevitably past this primary and convention, the person nominated will need to bring a message to convince former Obama voters to switch to vote for the candidate from the opposite party. Any other strategy will simply be relying on speculation.

    • Suck It Up Buttercups

Trump is far more of an insider with the GOP DC beltway than Cruz. Trump has made deal after crony capital deal with Washington politicians on both sides. Cruz is loathed by his fellows because he refuses to make those deals. Cruz may be a sitting senator, but he’s no insider. Trump? He’s got them all in his pocket. He said so. Why do you think they are supporting Trump now?

          • Stuck_in_Ca√→

Crony capital? What government contracts have been awarded to Trump?

          • idalily

Trump himself has said he buys politicians for his own profit. Do you really think that will stop if he becomes president? it won’t. He’s a sleeze, he will continue to be a sleeze. That Trump fans like you can’t see that boggles the mind.

          • Stuck_in_Ca√→

Donating to politicians is not crony capitalism. I donate to politicians.

          • idalily

Yeah, so do I, and I suspect neither of us do so on the scale of Donald Trump. He buys politicians, we donate. The fact that you are willfully blind about Trump’s character won’t make him any less sleezy. This purist meme coming from Trump supporters would be laughable if it wasn’t so tragic for our nation.

          • Stuck_in_Ca√→

He donates to politicians. If they favor him later on business decisions that can be affected by the government then so be it. You’re ignorant if you think any other major business man is any different.

          • idalily

The fact that you seem to be fine with that ays a great deal about your moral compass.

          • Stuck_in_Ca√→

I donate to politicians, you donate to politicians, Donald donates to politicians..

          • idalily

And when you and I are donating so much money that we can, by our own admission, “buy” the politician, I’ll have a problem with that. Again, the fact that you are fine with electing a man who flat out buys politicians says a lot about your moral compass. We’re done. I will not respond to this nonsense any longer.

Glenn Beck is the real deal just as Cruz is the real deal. The pretend conservatives are coming out of the woodwork now. Rafael Cruz needs to dump Beck if he actually wants the votes he absolutely needs. Glenn Beck in a presidential administration, roaming the White House halls, in a cabinet position is a downright scary thought. Period. End of Story.

You are assuming too much without any basis.

awww… c’mon, Rogue. You know that’s not true.

Why do so many folks abide in what they know to be lies? I think it’s because it is the path of least resistance. Americans have gotten lazy. Or, maybe it’s finally come to ‘fight fire with fire’.

Whatever the reason, it is sad to see happen.

          • Humanary Stew

Reflect inward. I don’t agree with everything anyone does or says, but Beck also does a lot of charity work and is often has supplies and volunteers at ground zero of a disaster the next day.

Glenn Beck has made a name for himself through ridiculous fear-mongering, prolific pandering, and flashy punditry. Glenn Beck does what he does strictly for personal profit and gain. Always.

Glenn Beck is a snakeoil flim-flam flinger. He cries on-demand. He wails on cue. He missed his true calling as a slobbering oh-so sincere TV evangelist. While he implores hardworking folks living payday to payday to throw their money at him for “charity” and other “benevolent causes”, such as his Welcome Wagon of creature comforts for Scofflaw Criminal Illegal Immigrants, he’s hoarding cash money to the tune of making himself and the Beck Clan multi-multi-multimillionaires.

Here is Glenn Beck himself ironically explaining his own business model…

            https://youtu.be/26M0bJut-RI

          • Humanary Stew

Again, you are forgetting that he runs a charity and puts his own money into it. A charity helps people in their greatest hour of need. He also has helped rescue children that were in the sex slave industry.

I thought our side didn’t have a problem with capitalism. It seems like you do.

Beck has always said not to take his word for anything, to research it yourself.

This is the childishness I am referring to. Fine, you don’t like him and no one says you have to, but your obsession is more than a little disturbing.

I have learned more from him than anyone else. I learned what the progressive movement was through him. He has been right about several things over the year. Things like the caliphate and Van Jones.

Glenn Beck does NOTHING for anyone but himself. They are merely TOOLS. An utter MEANS to a self-serving self-enriching END. How you cannot see the forest for the trees there is mind-boggling.

Capitalism is Flim-Flam and Fraud then…?
Man, okay, if you say so.

          • Humanary Stew

You are the one being critical of someone making money, not me. Own your words. And I have proven you wrong on your claim that he only does things for himself. I think you are just too blind in your hate to see it.

          • idalily

You are simply lying. Beck does a TON of charity work.

And I’m saying that as someone who is not a Beck fan. Used to love his radio show way back in the day, but think he’s a little off his rocker now in many ways. But your statement the he does nothing for anyone but himself is a bald-face LIE.

          • http://www.nleomf.org/officers/heroes-behind-the-badge/heroes-behind-badge-sacrifice-survival.html Meatzilla ✓ᴵᴿᴿᴱᴰᴱᴱᴹᴬᴾᴸᴼᴿᴬᴮᴸᴱ

            No lies. None, whatsoever.

Your reading comprehension is just plain dismal, at best.

          • Humanary Stew

Their reading comprehension is fine. Yours seems off as it has pointed out to you that you not correct. Yet you refuse to see anything but your blind hatred for someone that has not harmed you in any way.

          • idalily

There is nothing wrong with my reading comprehension. You are LYING about Beck “doing nothing for anyone but himself..” That is a LIE.. As I said before, he does a lot of charity work. You hate him? Fine. But don’t lie about him.

          • http://www.nleomf.org/officers/heroes-behind-the-badge/heroes-behind-badge-sacrifice-survival.html Meatzilla ✓ᴵᴿᴿᴱᴰᴱᴱᴹᴬᴾᴸᴼᴿᴬᴮᴸᴱ

Did you read my comment that you’re referring to in your reply(s) where I state his so-called “charity work(s)” are just “tools” and a MEANS to a self-serving self-enriching END?

            Yes?

That’s not a lie. It is self-evident truth.

Okay, then once again I say, your reading comprehension is just plain dismal, at best.

          • idalily

Not it is not a self-evident truth. It is a LIE. YOU ARE LYING.

          • Humanary Stew

It is merely your opinion unless you have proof of what you claim. If you do, provide it.

        • Humanary Stew

You personify Trump supporters perfectly. Thanks.

          • http://www.nleomf.org/officers/heroes-behind-the-badge/heroes-behind-badge-sacrifice-survival.html Meatzilla ✓ᴵᴿᴿᴱᴰᴱᴱᴹᴬᴾᴸᴼᴿᴬᴮᴸᴱ

Absolute and undeniable truth ‘personifies’ “Trump supporters”…?

            Really?

Heck, maybe I’ll hop on over and actually get onboard the Trump bandwagon then.

All I abide in is the truth.

          • Humanary Stew

Nope. Childish insults and completely devoid of reality. Just like Trump. Trump is so fake. Anyone that pays attention can see that.

  • muckraker

Did Glenn cry while he was at it?

  • spiritof76

Beck’s endorsement is an embarrassment to Cruz.

  • Shoeless Joe

I do not think that a Beck endorsement is worth anything.
It carries as much weight as his signing on with the NRO hit on Trump, none.
Cruz is a good guy, and Beck is keeping bad company.

    • anjullyn

Beck’s endorsement is as meaningless for Sen. Cruz as Palin’s is for Trump. Voting because of an endorsement by celebs and/or politicians is for weak minds.

  • https://geekpolitics.liberty.me/ Curly

I love Ted Cruz (has my 2nd preference spot), but Glenn Beck has gone a little off the reservation particularly with Trump (who I’m not a supporter of, but some of what he said about the Donald erks me).

    • Humanary Stew

      But it’s true.

      • https://geekpolitics.liberty.me/ Curly

        What’s true?

        • Humanary Stew

The things he has said about Trump. They play Trump’s own words.

  • DefCon99

If he’s good enough for Glenn, then he’s lost my vote.

    • ElfPool Stormtrooper

      Enjoy electing a Prog then

      • DefCon99

Why is it either/or for you? There are other options.

        • Humanary Stew

Everyone else is either a progressive or supported policies that aren’t conservative.

    • idalily

If the endorsement of one talking head is enough to sway your vote, I doubt you’d find the energy to go the the polls and actually vote anyway.

      • DefCon99

        Sarcasm mystifies you doesn’t it?

        • idalily

In this case, perhaps it did. Your post did not seem sarcastic to me, and I’m usually pretty good at detecting that.

          • DefCon99

I have no respect for Glenn Beck. He is not to be trusted. If Cruz accepts Beck’s endorsement, then that’s where I will split with him.

          • idalily

Then you weren’t being sarcastic, so why the post about sarcasm? You’ve lost me. And you seem quite easily swayed by the opinion of one person. To let Glenn Beck have that much power over your decision making seems silly to me, but whatevs.

      • DefCon99

I vote every time it’s available. I will vote in 2016, but not for anyone from Team Geritol or Team RINO.

  • Jackalopes

Beck is seriously off his rocker…or off the wagon. I’m actually embarrassed for him at this point.

  • crazyliberal

Do you mean the same George Washington that owned slaves?

    • R_Swift

Over 200 years ago, get over it.

Democrats have hanged and killed blacks more recently than that.

  • MaryBlack

    Embarrassing.

    • Petrucio14

Don’t think the choice is binary. Not yet.

  • http://marcwinger.com Jupiter Caelestis

I guess Beck is bring his supporters to Cruz’ table. But… it’s Beck. Melodrama is his middle name as well as not making a whole lot of sense most of the time.

    • Suzyqpie

What the heII happen to Beck. I used to listen to his radio program and I enjoyed him, something went wrong with his message.

      • Alexxthegreat

Read he had some kind of nervous breakdown…..having to do with personal ‘issues’.

  • wharfrat

There’s one thing to remember,Obama looks at himself in a mirror and loves what he sees,Trump looks in a mirror and loves what he sees and tells anyone who will listen how great he is and how rich he is,brag, brag, brag!!,Cruz gives a speech and talks about the mess our country is in and tells what he’ll do to fix it,and tells us who got us into the mess,Obama!!,what would we rather have,a bragger or a President who can help us as a nation?,we have had over seven years of a do nothing bragger, it’s time for a change.

    • freeinaz

      Cruz 2016

    • Suzyqpie

Your comment presents more convincing information than any ads I’ve seen from anyone. thehill has an article quoting Trump saying if he went out and shot people, his supports would still support him. Trumps ridiculous statement sounded just like the asininty of Obama.

      • RJLigier

Trump likes playing with the paranoid delusional minds of the 2-3%er borderline confrontational/passive-aggressive progressive/libertarian opens borders advocates hostile to the COTUS and the American worker.

  • WHMay

I must be behind on my metaphors, I know what a “highway to hell” is, thank you, AC/DC, and a “snowball’s chance in hell,” but what is a “snowball to hell”?

In this speech, Beck also talked about Trump’s “huberis.” I thought I misheard him but he pronounced it the same way in this video at 01:51. http://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2014/06/13/glenn_beck_hubris_to_think_we_can_bring_democracy_to_a_region_that_doesnt_want_it.html#ooid=tjczhhbjpUOS6XMcKvmxuK3XsACIozd_

The next George Washington? Really? Then ol’ GW was one creepy dude.

    • LimpingHenry

Yes, yes he was. He crept up on the Hessians at Trenton as I recall. Crossed a river in the midst of winter to do it.

      • NV

        Good one!

  • https://twitter.com/rockinranger81 Ben Bollman

Ted Cruz is my guy but when Glenn Beck offered to endorse him I would’ve been “Thanks but no thanks.” Beck has become a lunatic.

    • LimpingHenry

I wouldn’t call Beck a lunatic, but even lunatics can have a flash of sanity.

    • Jill

      How so?

      • https://twitter.com/rockinranger81 Ben Bollman

Because Glenn Beck is a nutjob. I say this even as someone who listens to him on occasion.

  • Mixelflick

If Clinton isn’t indicted then lying, cheating and stealing are clearly the way to the top in this country (as in the very top)!

Something millions of Americans will have in mind, as they sit down to do their taxes soon…

  • charliecrown

Well I agree with his endorsement of Sen Cruz. I believe he would make a very fine President, and I’ll leave it at that. 🙂

  • RJLigier

Walk away, Ted, Beck believes the founding fathers were 2-3%er libertarians. Trump and Cruz, bytcheslapping the 2-3%er progressive/libertarian open borders advocates through November 2016 and beyond………

  • demsdoublestandard

Cruz, let me give you some advice – Distance yourself from Beck! I used to like him but he seems to gone a little crazy here lately. Him calling people supporting Trump racist was way out of line. I think Beck is wanting some attention.

I was digging you Cruz til you became enthused about Beck and now I’m not so sure.

  • demsdoublestandard

Cruz may be speechless because he doesn’t want his endorsement. At least that’s what I hope it is. Just a thought.
