MSNBC has been crazier than usual lately, and that’s saying something, but check out this slimewad tweet about a new ad for Cheerios:

The right wing will “hate” the biracial family depicted in the Cheerios ad? Um, first of all, they really have short memories over at MSNBC, don’t they?

Insanity at MSNBC is nothing new, but that’s big time douchebaggery even for them.

Not that MSNBC will pay attention to anything that blows their false narrative to smithereens, but non-libs have been tweeting some wonderful family photos to counter MSNBC’s hateful lies and smears:

“Bigoted, sanctimonious pricks” about says it.

Actor Nick Searcy joined the fray to counter MSNBC’s disgusting comment:

This request will most likely be met with crickets:

We’ll wait…

Update: This post has been updated to include additional tweets.

Update: MSNBC has deleted its tweet. Here is a screencap for posterity:

Update: MSNBC has apologized.

Update: So, MSNBC apologized for the tweet, but what about the article that claimed there was “conservative backlash” against an earlier Cheerios ad featuring the biracial family?

No apology. The sentence was just quietly deleted from the MSNBC website.

See the original smear here.

  • Clayton Grant

Time to let MSNBCs sponsors know what sort of biggoted imbeciles they are giving their money to, lest they be tainted by it.

    • conservativechick

This is the most press MSNBC has received …..ever? It’s still negative press.

    • David Johnson

I though msnbs paid companies to run their commercials?

      • Clayton Grant

        Just another layer.

    • DrKennethNoisewaterMD

      msnbc has sponsors??

    • Suzi

MSNBC didn’t start this. This was started by Bob Whitaker’s buggsters. Bob Whitaker worked in the Reagan administration and helped take down the Soviet Union. Whitaker’s buggsters posted his mantra on the last Cheerios YouTube ad, Cheerios then blocked ALL comments. Read the mantra:

Africa for the Africans. Asia for the Asians. White countries for everybody!

Everybody says there is this RACE problem. Everybody says this RACE problem will be solved when the third world pours into EVERY white country and ONLY into white countries.

The Netherlands and Belgium are just as crowded as Japan or Taiwan, but nobody says Japan or Taiwan will solve this RACE problem by bringing in millions of third worlders and quote assimilating unquote with them.

Everybody says the final solution to this RACE problem is for EVERY white country and ONLY white countries to “assimilate,” i.e., intermarry, with all those non-whites.

What if I said there was this RACE problem and this RACE problem would be solved only if hundreds of millions of non-blacks were brought into EVERY black country and ONLY into black countries? How long would it take anyone to realize I’m not talking about a RACE problem. I am talking about the final solution to the BLACK problem? And how long would it take any sane black man to notice this and what kind of psycho black man wouldn’t object to this?

But if I tell that obvious truth about the ongoing program of genocide against my race, the white race, Liberals and respectable conservatives agree that I am a naziwhowantstokillsixmillionjews.

They say they are anti-racist. What they are is anti-white.
      Anti-racist is a code word for anti-white.

      • Brendan

What kind of ignorant jack ass are you?

        • Kakarot

Well, Brendan, dear Suzi has four comments, in her account, at least under ‘Suzi’. The only other one I read was from a couple months ago posting at a place called “The White Voice” —

The White Voice is a positive and progressive multimedia outlet for people of European ancestry worldwide.

So Suzi is probably a loyal, long term MSNBC viewer.

          • Suzi

LOL!!! Nope, I have NEVER watched MSNBC and NEVER will. What’s wrong with people of European ancestry having a website like all the others have?

        • Suzi

LOL! I’m just saying how this whole controversy with the Cheerios ad got started. MSNBC wasn’t talking about you respectable conservatives, they were talking about Bob Whitaker’s bugsters. That’s the mantra that was posted on the first Cheerios ad that started this whole thing.

    • lessthantolerant

Agreed, I have already sent out several letters and e-mails to some of their sponsors and friends. We all need to challenge and hurt when possible the leftist race baiters.
We also need to start laughing the left when they want to throw out their accusations of racism.
Take away their labels and they have nothing.

    • D-dubs

THANK YOU!!! This is what we have to do!! Everyone needs to call, tweet, email, send a carrier pigeon, or send smoke signals to MSNBC and their advertisers!!!!! This is the only way to make a change at that vile network!

    • Donald-Now2x/Sarc-w/0calories

You spelled “maggot infested, subhuman, worthless, douchebags” wrong.

  • H50 ✓RAT

Golly they’re stupid. Republicans dont have a problem with bi-racial families, but those oh so tolerant progs sure seem to.

    • thedumbblonde

They only have a problem with it if “conservatives” have bi-racial families. Or so it would seem.

      • H50 ✓RAT

Nah, they have a problem with their stereotype bubbles blowing up in their faces. Truth is hard.

      • Darth Chipmunk

The problem is Political Correctness. Liberals can have biracial families because open minded standard bearers for justice and equality. Meanwhile Conservatives can’t have biracial families because racist tea-bagger extremists. It’s so simple! Liberals have no choice: Desperate for validation, they attack conservatives or risk damage to The Narrative(tm) and their own fragile world-view.

    • Tigerspike

For instance, Spike Lee, has a nifty quote about his feelings toward interracial couples.

      • H50 ✓RAT

Hates them as I recall. Racist.

        • Tigerspike

      • Chris

I find it interesting that SOME black men find it ok for a black man and a white girl BUT not ok for a white man and a black girl. Ran into this problem in college, and me and said girl were just friends. However, since she was hanging out with me, it made a couple guys really mad. Luckily, I was there playing basketball so I had plenty of back up to get rid of the problem(s).

        • Tigerspike

Yeah, I’ve seen that happen, too.

    • Maxx

THIS is why so many conservatives thought Melissa Harris Perry’s apology was crocodile-teared. The network simply can’t help itself. They truly are this deranged at anything and anyone anti-Obama.

Get ready for the plethora of MSNBC “how dare you be anti-Hillary?” tweets…they’ll be coming soon enough.

      • H50 ✓RAT

Youre absolutely right Maxx. When you establish a pattern of conduct, its hard to buy apologies for more of the same. When youre really sorry, one does not repeat the bad behavior.

I dont care if they apologize or not, because it would be meaningless anyway. I do want to see them get spanked and have their noses rubbed in the poo they leave on the carpet like a puppy tho.
I really am not looking forward to the smear fest of 2016. They have set the bar so low that its going to get pretty disgusting, Ill wager.

The good news is that every time the mask slips, they disgust more good folk, who turn away from the muck. The only question in my mind is do the number of good folk still outweigh the number of mindless drones that will regurgitate this crud?

    • William2010

HanaFive0 said, “Golly they’re stupid. Republicans dont have a problem with bi-racial families, but those oh so tolerant progs sure seem to.”

My wife and I are of different races, me – multi-racial, my wife a “minority,” our four children, our multiracial flesh and blood offspring.

For years MS KKK, er, MS BIGOTRY, er MSNBC has had a bug up their you-know-what about race, ethnicity, and principled people. I have long ago grown tired of it.

The are intolerant, have doctored radio and television audio or audio-visual film to make people look racist, bigoted, and dishonest, egotistic, and so forth. Just before the elections, when Mitt Romney arrived at a campaign stop, Paul Ryan was on the small platform speaking with the crowd. MSNBC showed a video clip on the Morning Joe program of this transition, Mitt arriving at the rally and joining Paul Ryan.

MSNBC showed the tape with the sound of people chanting. On the bottom of the screen, rolling right to left, were the words “Ryan – Ryan – Ryan – Ryan ……. ”

The MSNBC video clip shows Mitt standing at the stand next to Paul Ryan finally raising his arms in the air, leaning into the microphone and addressed the crowd, “Wait a minute! Wait a minute! Romney – Ryan, Romney – Ryan, Romney Ryan ….. ”

The MSNBC video clip had been edited to lead viewers to think that Mitt was upset that the crowd was chanting Ryan’s name and omitting Mitt’s name. Joe Scarborough and his panel all acted condescending, arrogant, and better than Mitt, covering their eyes, shaking their heads, making faces, laughing, and mocking Mitt Romney.

They addressed the tape clip as if Mitt could not even get the crowd excited about his arrival, that they did not care for him, but for Ryan, and that Mitt had to tell them to chant HIS – Mitt’s name.

It was so dishonest. They doctored the tape by adding the typed words, rolling below, as “Ryan – Ryan – Ryan” when the crowed was actually Chanting “Romney, Romney, Romney ….. ” and Mitt was trying to get them to acknowledge, and include Paul Ryan’s name.

I even fell for their sleight of hand at first, but then, when I discovered their lie I wanted to jump through the television and do a Bruce Lee, King Kong, Superman beat down on the whole lot of those dishonest, vindictive, malicious people who were misleading the public like that.

They’ve done other horrific, dishonest, misleading things on their show as well, but the frequency with which the Leftist MSNBC hosts and their panel hatefully, prejudicially foment lies, distortions, and hatred is so disgusting ….

Well, the are not worth watching.

Hey, now, Evan Williams ain’t trash, it ain’t good, but it ain’t trash.

      • Wes

John, you have reached the bottom of the hole. Stop digging!
Shees, you are sounding like a complete idiot. Your profile says you’re from North Texas. Well, I have lived ALL over Texas, and I am a 6th generation Texan. I have family who fought and died in the Texas battle for independence, in the Alamo, Goliad, San Jacinto, the later battle of Bexar ( to retake the San Antonio area, after San Jac, after the Alamo). Did we have some racists in our family? Yes, one of my great great grandfather’s ( on my father’s side) was a grand dragon in the KKK. However, nobody (not even my great grandmother on my father’s side, the daughter of the KKK guy!) in my family, for the last several generations was a racist. My Grandfather(on my mothers side) was 1/4 American Indian (Sioux, if I remember correctly). My family treats, and has treated all people, based on their own merits, not on the color of their skin.
So, just because YOU may have a few bigots in your own family, does NOT give you the right to brand ALL southerners, nor even all Republicans, with the same paint brush!
I greatly dislike Obama, not because of the color of his skin ( Psssst! He is half white!) But, instead, because of his policies, which are ruining this once great country of ours. Let’s talk about his economic policies, which he still bales Bush for, let’s talk about his ruinous foreign policies ( turn on our trusted allies, embrace our enemies! How well has THAT worked out for him? He is viewed, internationally, as a laughing stock!)

Be honest, really look into your personal views, and tell me, are they REALLY just because you dislike your family, or, do you dislike yourself, because of your own failures?

  • Jim_MAY

The left only sees color! Not the person or the mind, just color.

  • Grassroots Gaston

I sure don’t remember any “conservative backlash” over this commercial last year. But checking their links it must be true- they have anonymous online comments to prove it.
    *big ol’ eye roll*

  • Maxx

Here’s an ugly truth (because I’ve experienced it first hand). If it had been a white man and a black woman in that commercial, all hell would have been let loose on Twitter and I’ll give you one guess who from.

  • Discontentwliars

Bummer – I like #cheerios. Twitter explodes with many photos #MyRightwingBiracialFamily in response to MSMBC tweet.

  • fireandreamitchell

MSNBC is the one who hates ‘rightwing’ biracial families.!/img/httpImage/image.png_gen/derivatives/landscape_635/romney-2013-christmas-photo.png

A network that features Al Sharpton and Melissa Harris-Perry is the last one who should be throwing around the race card. Comcast needs to suffer in the pocket book from this with sponsor boycott. ENOUGH of NBC/MSNBC’s free ride.

  • Phebelyn

The link from the MSNBC tweet takes you to an article written by Gabriela Resto-Montero. She wrote:

“The breakfast cereal’s new Super Bowl ad features the same fictional biracial family that sparked a backlash last year”. It used to say, “biracial family that conservatives sparked a backlash last year”. Now the word, ‘conservative’, has been taken out of the article. The words were a link to another article written back in the summer by Emma Margolin where she first reported about the first Cheerios ad w/ the cute little girl that pours cereal all over her dad. No where did Emma write that there was a conservative backlash over this commercial!
So Gabriela ‘sparked’ the faux outrage that she made up in her teeny tiny head and MSNBC, as always, jumped on fiction they wish were true….SICK!!

    • Guest

      That was informative. Thank you!

    • Discontentwliars

      References please… Thanks

      • Combat Veteran Seabee

Look them up for yourself if you doubt the truth, but wait, you must be a liberal, and the truth just effed you up!

        • Discontentwliars

Sorry – Not a lib. Just like people to use references that verifies something that’s clarifies truth to be posted with the statement. If they have a reference, it strengthens an argument. That statement is a story in itself, and would love to have it expanded.

      • Phebelyn

I wish I had a pic of Gabriela’s original article BEFORE she/someone removed the word conservative. But I don’t, sorry…The only reference I have is what I saw in her article when I first looked at all the links throughout the tweet above from msnbc. Not long after I took a second look back and the article had been updated with the word conservative taken out.

I just TIVO’ed the four programs on MSNBC this evening. When I have time, I am going to scan through the programs and list ALL of the sponsors that advertise on each program. I think its time to start staging boycotts on all of the companies that keep this disgusting pathetic excuse for a network in business.

  • Genie R Krivanek

Cretins! One couple that are two of our best friends are bi-racial! Their kids call us Aunt and Uncle and they are listed as our nephews and niece on my Facebook page. You are scum and if Fox News or some conservative had said that you would excoriate them! You are disgusting race baiters just like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson and I am SOOOOOOO glad I don’t watch you. Disgusting!

  • Gifted Placebo

I’m pretty sure they know where they can stick their “apology”. Since when has their position been anything other than hateful race baiting?

  • Night Owl

“This account tweeted an offensive line”. Not a person who works for MSNBC, the account did it all by itself.

      Maybe a gun did it.

  • Sammy

American people are too good for that idiocy.

  • nc ✓s & balances

How many times have Twitchy commenters alone have disproved this slander? There are so many of us that are members of multi-racial families, and those who aren’t are totally supportive and have nothing to feel defensive about.

  • SpaceRacer423

so consequences for the MSNBC employee who tweeted this or no?

    • FGCU_James

Consequences? My money says that employee got a raise.

    • Lyle Petersen

They can’t fire Rachel. She has their largest audience, now.

  • Diggur

My children are bi-racial. I’m white and my ex-husband is Pakistani. And we’re both about as right-wing as you can get.

  • JBM425

Wasn’t it also The Left that hounded Tamera Mowry for being married to a white man, Fox News’ Adam Housley?

    • WhoDat

      Those were racist assh*les.

      • journogal

Yet, it was still leftists. Most vocal racists are on the left. They constantly are the ones bringing up race, esp. when defending the President. Here is a hint: it has nothing to do with his race.
Look at the great and fantastic said about conservative and independent blacks when they DARE to speak out against Obama. Didn’t the head of the NAACP refer to Tim Scott as a “puppet who sits on a white man’s lap?” Do you defend that statement; and if so, why?

    • TundraThunder

Nothing would be said if Tamera and Adam were libs, even though deep down the leftists don’t like the minorities, they only need them to use them..

  • AZWarrior

Melissa Harris Perry is so white there has to be a honky in HER woodpile…………

    • WhoDat

      Her mother is White.

      • AZWarrior

Is she Barack’s long lost sista?

  • TundraThunder

I’d just like to slap everyone involved with MSNBCrap until their hair falls out! They’re nothing but intolerant, race-baiting, low-life asses!

  • LinTaylor ✓vitrified

Tweet deleted, but the person responsible will just vanish into the ether with no punishment rendered. In fact, knowing MSNBC, I’m sure the strongest rebuke s/he will get is “Next time don’t get caught.”

  • Josephine Schmo

Remember it was Andy Cohen VP of Bravo TV who said this to Rick Santorum: A year later and no apology and his disgusting hate-filled diatribes just go on and on and ON! Bravo TV is part of the MSNBC family, rt?

    • Josephine Schmo

Just to encourage you to click the link, Andy Cohen on Joy Behar’s show said he would hate-shag Rick Santorum to teach him a lesson, or something like that but wouldn’t mind marrying Paul Ryan. Freak and jerk. MSNBC, NBC and any other affiliate can say nothing about bullying if they let this fool stay on the air–and he’s a VP and Bravo TV! Yikes!

  • Aleister
  • Mike Rogers

Wow, that was a bloodbath, and deservedly so.

  • ozconservative

” It does not reflect msnbc’s position and we apologize.”

    Ummm……yes it does!!!

  • Ailsa Nordstrom

No, the right-wing will love the adorable family in the Cheerios commercial. No distinguishment will be made of the race of the family.

  • Michelle ✓classified

Wow, they just can’t stop digging that hole they’re in. Two fired hosts, another who made a weepy apology and now this? Keep it up MSNBC, please, please keep it up – the whole country is seeing your true colors and they’re not very pretty. No wonder this network is ALWAYS at the bottom of the ratings barrel.

  • anthonybgonzalez

  • nanaTo5

You know, the only reason the Cheerios commercial became an issue is because of LEFT wing ‘sistas’ tweeting their hateful, vile comments about this family. A white devil ‘stole’ one of their men!

    • Michelle ✓classified

I’ve noticed over the past few decades that the hate over mixed race marriages comes less and less from the “Right” but more and more from the “Left”

      • Lyle Petersen

Shhhh. You’re not supposed to notice that. You’re DEFINITELY not supposed to talk about it.

        • Michelle ✓classified

Good thing I’ve been a bit of a rebel most of my life.

      • nanaTo5

On HuffPo there is an article about this, but they are leading people to believe it’s racist whites who are causing the controversy. When I commented the truth about black females having been the complainers about this commercial, they deleted my comment.

  • jerry148

Brought a tear to my eye to see all the pictures of those “right-wingers who would hate a biracial family”. As usual, MSNBC should just go away. Couldn’t even make it a month before saying something ridiculous.

  • Michael Taylor

Of course it reflects their position. Why would they say it if it didn’t? Are they allowing people who don’t hold their views into their Twitter account?

    • jerry148

Exactly! That’s exactly their view. How ass-backwards do you have to be to tweet something that you honestly believe to be true, and then retract that tweet?

    • TundraThunder

One day in the future the truth will come out: The lefties are the ones who truly hate the minorities.

  • Glitter

MSNBC is DYING to find some racism where it doesn’t exist.

    • Corey Dennison

And as we’ve seen over the past couple weeks, they’re not afraid to create their own if they can’t find it…

    • WhoDat

Racism exists, they’re just looking in the wrong places.

      • ozconservative

They should start by looking in the bathroom mirror.

      • Corey Dennison

You’re correct WhoDat. Racism does exist…and I’ll go so far as to say it’s not truly a left/right issue (though I’ve blamed a fair share of lefties of it in the past). It’s a human issue.

As long as human beings exercise judgement based on our observations–rightly or wrongly–it’s going to exist. It will never go away–it’s all a matter of how we deal with it.

And the problem with piddly crap like this from MSNBC, is that it’s akin to crying wolf. So when real racism does rear it’s ugly head, people are less likely to take it seriously.

        • WhoDat

          Agree wholeheartedly.

  • Michael Taylor

    Please continue to underestimate us.

Your miscalculation couldn’t possibly backfire on you some day.

  • Phebelyn

Okay so @GabrielaRM started this mess with her false accusations against conservatives, then MSNBC jumps on that bandwagon gladly, not even quoting her, just making up stuff they hope is true. @GabrielaRM then deletes the word ‘conservatives’ from her article, and it takes MSNBC about 3 hours to catch up?

  • F the Left

Impulse control? Hardly. Liberals are THAT stupid.

  • kauaidaze

Granted they deleted the tweet, but why would @msnbc think it was OK to post it in the 1st place? This is more than offensive, it’s slander, pure and simple.

  • lissa

It’s like the idiots at MSNBC just want to pat themselves on the collective back and say “Look at us, we’re SO accepting of other races and ESPECIALLY biracial families!” Most of US (the NON-idiots) don’t notice color. We see the person. They are so color-aware they either mock (as they did with the Romney family) or jump up and down showing how non-prejudice they are. Either way, they’re ridiculously low in the ratings. When does the network fold up and go home?

  • mjr25

OF COURSE it’s their position…why wouldn’t it be?…why would they have tweeted it in the first place if it wasn’t?…smh…shameful and disgraceful…

  • ozconservative

General Mills needs to pull all their advertising from MSNBC ASAP. Out of all the crap that they’ve pulled this has made my blood boil more than anything.

  • smorkingapple

Lol the same folks who won’t credit Obama one bit for his biracial background get up In arms over this? And didn’t cats get upset over the biracial Cheerios ad earlier?

    Are we serious here?

Why is MSNBC apologizing anyway? When was last time Fox apologized for an insensitive remark or twelve?

It’s a factual statement that some right wingers do not like mixed breeding of any sort. Go to storm front or n mania posting those pics. Watch the Result.

Sorry but if the shoe fits get a matching purse.

    • AMERICAN Kafir™✓ᵛᵉʳᶦᶠᶦᵉᵈ

Got any insensitive remarks (or 12) that Fox has made? Links, or it didn’t happen.

    • Lyle Petersen

“Why is MSNBC apologizing anyway? When was last time Fox apologized for an insensitive remark or twelve?”

When is the last time Fox HAD to? When is the last time they stepped in it this big? You answer your own question, you just don’t like the implications.

On the other hand, this is, what, the 6th or 7th major public apology MSNBC has had to make in as many months? Tells you who the real hate merchants are.

    • Michelle ✓classified

Folks, here we have a perfect example of someone who is completely unaware of what is going on in the society around them and instead chooses to live in their own self-created reality.

    • Isaac Clark

“Lol the same folks who won’t credit Obama one bit for his biracial background get up In arms over this?”

Who was suppose to credit the President for his biracial background? What in the world does the President’s race have to do with this conversation? Being (falsely) accused of endorsing biological racism is something to “get up in arms over.”

“It’s a factual statement that some right wingers do not like mixed breeding of any sort?”

That’s a bold statement. “Some” means more than one but not necessarily more than two (but even one person feeling that way is unacceptable to say the least). Who in the world said, “I’m a right winger and I don’t like mixed breeding of any sort.”? But actually, since you said “some,” what two people ever said that?

    • Oxbow

Hey shit-for-brains , do you think if my brother posted a picture with his black wife on world star hip hop he’d be welcomed with open arms? It’s a factual statement that some left wingers don’t like mixed breeding of any sort, but major media sources like MSNBC only see fit to troll “right wingers.”

    • Amanda Davis

It is a fact that bigots exist in all walks of life. As for Storm Front, et al: just because you call yourself a conservative doesn’t make you one. There is nothing inherent in conservatism that breeds racism or sexism or ableism or any other ism of your choosing.

Anecdotally, I have had to deal with more predjudice and condescension from people calling themselves progressives than conservatives.

    • Elizabeth

It’s also a fact that many left wing AA’s despise anyone dating or marrying out of their own race. They call them traitors. For starters, just search for the hate directed at Tamera Mowry for marrying Adam Housley. BTW – what would Fox News have to apologize for?

    • QueenB

And you’re a bigoted POS. Here’s the shoes and the purse.

Just to add my two cents to the truth squad: I am a conservative of long standing, a “right-winger,” so to speak. We have two bio kids, a couple of Asian daughters, an Asian- black grandson, a Hispanic daughter-in-law . . . Need I go on? My theory is that the liberals who spout this stuff know it’s not true and don’t care who gets upset. Their purpose is to plant such over-the-top ideas in the heads of the uninformed, undiscerning lemmings who will blindly believe their nonsense and vote for the likes of Barach Obama. Sickening to have to lie about the opposition in order to convince someone to support you.

It seems MSNBC is the only organization that took the time to point out that the new Cherios commercial features a biracial family. So how does it work over at MSNBC? Do they hunt the internet looking for the next self-generated “racial issue” to project onto their political enemies? It wouldn’t be that far from reality. After all, isn’t Chris Matthews constantly reminding us about President Obama’s skin color?

Get REAL.. I have been in interracial relationships and had 5 daughters over my 60+ years in life… racism is very very prevalent in the extreme right wing especially down here in the south… yes there are some nice honestly accepting conservatives.. but the reality is most I have met in my travels are NOT tolerant, they stare, make snide comments and are what is termed Subtly racist.. and what is funny MOST of them have no idea why are racists… so tweet your outrage and show your families.. but in reality a large number of my republican brothers and sisters are out and out racists and bigots.

    • soxfan4evah

Down here in the deep south that is DC. Go away troll, Dr Deuche would be a much better moniker.

      • Dr Gripe

Troll?? WTF did you ever see me commenting on things like this here or anyplace else.. because you cannot take the truth or reality in life that is your problem.. but to stoop to name calling because I state a fkn opinion.. you really have a lot of nerve.
I lived in ALL Red area for the last 40 years.. from Suburbs of philly to Orange county Cali.. to Sarasota Florida and now in Jack Kingston district in Georgia, Make an argument on where I am wrong. but to all me a troll for posting a honest comment is despicable behavior and what is wrong with our party when we have to have 4 responses to the SOTU speech… I am not the RINO in my party… it has been taken over by fools and idiots who make comments like yours… 60+ years old and you fkn cal me a troll. I have been to 72 countries.. had several business over the years.. and semi retired because I like to work. and you call me a troll… I go back to Truman and Eisenhower.. I clearly remember “AU H2O” in 64 for Barry Goldwater… I remember Vietnam as no man should ever have to, and Yes I speak some German (since you seem to want to throw that at me) , and French and Italian, and Portuguese and Spanish and a little Japanese and Chinese.. I went to the Wharton school.. you may want to ask The Donald about that one… but NONE of those things matter.. I PERSONALLY know that racism is very prevalent on the Right wing of the Republican party… denying it or calling me name does not change the fact.

        • soxfan4evah

But not in the Progressive side of the Democrat party correct? Usually the one pointing it out everywhere is the one with the problem. In your opinion, is it racist to assume the African American community is unable to survive without government programs, like Dems regularly spout, or is it racist to give them opportunity and let them make it on their own, which is what small government folks believe and get called racist for? As for knowing Vietnam, God bless you, I know Iraq and Afghanistan far better than I ever should have, so I pray for you and all of my brothers and sisters in arms every night.

        • Oysteria

So let me get this straight. You interviewed everyone who “stared” or made “snide comments” and asked them what political party they belonged to, right? I’m only asking because I suspect you’ve made some assumptions that may or may not be true.

It’s been my experience that far too many people that claim to be a D or an R never really gave it any in-depth thought because much like religion, political affiliation for some is just because that’s what Mom or Dad was. It has little to do with how they actually live their lives or what their philosophy is.

I suspect what you’ve run in to is more local cultures than political culture. Because I know people who are “subtly” racist from both parties and all colors.

All that aside, I think you’re also filing a complaint against people here who are absolutely correct in their anger over the tweet in question. And you’re doing the same thing they did in that tweet. Painting with a broad brush.

          • Corey Dennison

ohh the pain is unbearable .. actually I was more pissed off…

        • Karl Winrich

Not trying to step into the middle of a good argument here (well, maybe I actually am) but the real issue here is getting missed.

The real issue is that racism is alive and kicking in BOTH POLITICAL PARTIES, and in those parties followers. Don’t believe me, take 15 min to scour Liberal boards and then another 15 min to scour Conservative boards and you will see the exact same thing on both sides.
The true enemy is the main stream media, who target their rhetoric towards a specific demographic. In this case MSNBC is hard left and they target hard right groups and attempt to slander and malign. But the media in whole is not doing their job of accurately reporting, they are only inflaming the public and fomenting all the class division we have today.

It doesn’t matter whether your watching CNN, FOX, ABC, NBC, CBS, HLN, or MSNBC. Likewise it doesn’t matter if your reading NYT, HuffPost, WashPost, LATimes, or any other major publication: they are all doing the same thing, fomenting class division by using a single brush to paint all members of a specified group in the same image.
Here’s an example: Certain liberal groups have attempted to use the model of the WestBoro Baptist Church to paint all of Christianity even while knowing that WestBoro is not a Christian church.
Another example: Certain Conservative groups have attempted to paint all of Islam as marauding nutcases out to kill everybody when in truth it’s only an extremely radical sect and not reflective of all of Islam.

We have become a nation of sheep and we have been following the drum beat of specific herdsmen, we have allowed ourselves to become divided, as such we are easy prey. We need to wake and realize that we are all one people, one nation, and stop allowing ourselves to be easily corralled and manipulated.

          • Dr Gripe

You have succinctly stated what is usually not accepted on discussion boards. I agree with you whole heartedly but the stifling of differing opinions has reached an all time high I fear and I see no let up in the near or even distant future of 10 + years. I do not often involve myself in these comment sections as it just turns out to be a battle of people who will not think beyond (to use your term) drums of their own herdsman. until we understand there is good and bad in each party we can never find common ground to make this country whole again and better than what we are. Our politicians are idealogs instead of representatives of the people and have lost the ability to govern together.. as such we cannot be a strong country with this kind of vitriol between differing opinions. It hurts me to see MY Party that was once so strong divided into petty divisions and driven by narrow myopic views of the world. again thank you for your objective view point here It is refreshing to see.

    • tops116 ✓Quipper

So as you complain about racism, you’re content to judge an entire group based on the few people you met–not to mention that you automatically assumed said people were apart of that group? Apparently, MSNBC isn’t the only one to suffer a self-awareness problem.

      • Dr Gripe

yes I ASSumed… but given my town is 80% GOP with many Tea Party supporters… it was reasonable to think that many of them were republicans.. after all the “City” has only about 15,000 people. Hope this explains my ASSumptions.

  • Brian Robinson

It’s funny how none of these offensive comments reflect MSNBC’s position and yet it constantly happens. That leads me to believe it does and quite accurately.

  • William2010

From one of the tweets from MSNBC included in the thread above:

“Earlier, this account tweeted an offensive line about the new Cheerios
ad. We deeply regret it. It does not reflect the position of msnbc.”

How dare they post such dishonest words! That is EXACTLY MSNBC’s position – one of hatred, divisiveness, distortions, demonization, fomenting violence and danger to those they dislike or hate, as their rhetoric is so vile I often feel a chill through me, fearful of the news that their broadcast got someone, or group of someones, slaughtered. Their side, the Left, brought many of the mass murderers, Occupy Wall Street, the vandals and pyromaniacs, and violent mobs who have attacked Conservatives, Jews, Christians, Conservative Blacks, Hispanics, Asians, and Whites, Pro-Lifers, and more, then MSNBC ignores the story or champions the cause of the attackers which MSNBC riles up with their hate speech, doctored video and audio tapes, and other underhanded dirty tricks.
In the least I am biracial, but, do to such a mixed racial ancestry on both my mother’s and my father’s sides of my family, I might be multi-racial.

My wife and I are also a bi-racial couple, although I do not know what one could call a couple when one is of one or more race (my wife), and the other is of two or more races (me).

She is predominantly of one “minority” race.

Our children are our own flesh and blood children, which makes them not biracial, but multi-racial.

MSNBC is so offensive! They are ALWAYS making race an issue, in a bigoted, racist, prejudicial, malicious manner as they attack Conservatives, Republicans, Tea Party, Pro-Lifers, Christians, Catholic Christians as a separate Christian group, and they attack even more different types of people, all on such idiotic criteria as race, ideology, marriage, caring for children, stay-at-home mothering, and more.

MSNBC, through their tweets, including the tweet I opened my comment with, are extremely despicable for its dishonestly, and, in condescending by compounding one salacious tweet with an additional insulting tweet which requires the reader to be ignorant and not be aware of the vicious, hate spewing, derogatory nature of MSNBC’s recent broadcast pattern of behavior.

Their entire lineup is a who’s who of arrogance, insults, fabrications, bigotry, racism, salaciousness, vindictiveness, intolerance, narcissism, close mindedness, snobbishness, snark, and beratement.

I have been cautious in regard to posting photographs of my wife and children on internet sites, especially on US Government sites, and media outlets like Huffington Post, MSNBC, and so on, for I fear danger, harassment, intrusion, even violence by these intolerant, immoral people who actively seek out and destroy good people, like i listed in the seventh paragraph – Tea Party, Christians, Conservatives, Pro-Lifers, etc. After seeing other families, parents, post photos of their interracial families on their msnbc tweets, I am tempted to do so as well, but I still approach this with extreme caution. The Left, and MSNBC is a Leftist propaganda machine, cannot be trusted, they are nasty, they are vicious, and I doubt that they will respect those of us who are bi-racial or interracial or mutli-racial, for their bigotry and hatred is unmeasurable and they can be expected to do the most heinous acts.

Liberal politicians and the liberal media, for so long (decades), have patronized disenfranchised minorities in a very creative and disingenuous way, and in a way that has exploited not just racial sensitivities, but also in a way that continues to exploit these minorities as well. These minorities are groups and individuals that liberals have only pretended to care about. This has been a successful way of garnering votes for liberal politicians. It has also been seriously self-defeating for those minorities involved. Liberals will do anything to have control. Minorities have been lied to and manipulated, quite exclusively to the benefit of liberal control and power.

  • Don Bailey

Notice how they’re deflecting blame for this offensive tweet on the account? “Earlier this account tweeted an offensive line…”. Sounds similar to their reaction to gun violence, it’s about the gun. The “account” didn’t send that tweet, some sick a-hole did and we want to know precisely who that prick is.

    • xstratusx

That’s right – “Guns” commit crimes, “SUVs” cause crashes, and “Twitter” posts things on behalf of MSNBC.

  • lessthantolerant

I have always been amazed at the left and the level of their hate. I remember once when my son brought home a friend from his math class who happened to be black. During dinner the two were talking about things their math teacher was saying about this boy and how he should be ashamed his parents were trying to destroy his heritage. We discovered his parents were of mixed race being the father was white.
His father and I had a great time discussing this issue with the black math teacher and principal. What I really worried about was his mother and my wife, they had better ideas on how to handle the problem, but unfortunately there are laws against lynching. A mother is a frightening thing to observe when her child is threatened.
Liberals are evil and should be eradicated.

  • jimmy mcgarity

msnbc like all liberal’s have only shown their hypocrisy .

  • lessthantolerant

Idiots like Obama have been indoctrinated in the old Afrocentric anti imperialism mantra the communists formulated in the sixties. Too many young college students were swayed by these silly ideas and joined the sad movement.

Look at Obama, he has to watch his mother get knocked up by a black man, then abandon them. Then he has to endure watching his mother get used and abused by black men for years. All the while he wonders who his daddy is while being indoctrinated by blacks who suffer from this communist ideology. Add to this while he is being indoctrinated he has to watch these white people provide for him everything he needs to survive. Later he will be handed accolades that he knows in his heart he has not earned.

The poor petulant little boy is so conflicted he has to be angry so he expresses that anger at the whites who showed him love and care because they confuse him.

Leftists hate anyone who do not support the feelings they have for their beliefs.
    Right John?

    • plaingolf

Wow. That wasn’t helpful at all.

      • lessthantolerant

See, now you either do not want to understand Obama’s basis for his hatred of white America or you agree it is justified.

I guess you conveniently overlook (and secret agree) with the vileness that comes from liberals when they disagree with a conservative or independent minority? I assume you have no problem when tolerant, caring and open minded liberals (many who are commentators on CNN and MSNBC, and Hollywood elites) refer to Clarence Thomas, Condi Rice, Allan West, Dr. Ben Carson and others as “house negr*os,” “uncle toms,” “puppet for the white man,” and worse.

Honestly, I think the only way MSNBC is generating any numbers has to be launching these vitriolic comments.

Stupid tweet, but they are referring to the right-wing hating the ad, not the family. There is a difference and it is lame that you’ve tried to manipulate what they said, which is bad enough as is.

    • mondolibre

      Difference, please?

      • blder

The difference between an ad and an actual family? Does one have to hate gay families to be opposed to ads that use gay families to promote a product? Does one have to hate hungry people to be opposed to food stamp promotions?

I believe that Cheerios used the same bi-racial family in an ad last year, and there was backlash for it. I suspect this is what they were referring to…

This very commerical has been running in the Denver market for a while now. It’s very cute and the little girl is adorable. How msnbc could take something so sweet and turn it into such hate is beyond me.

  • Der_Kommissarsintown

Maybe MSNBC shouldn’t be using Twitter. They obviously don’t seem to understand how to use it since practically all of their tweets end up getting deleted a few hours later, accompanied by an insincere “apology”.
