Senator Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) obviously watched the end of the 49ers/Seahawks game when Seattle cornerback Richard Sherman went over-the-top during a post-game interview with Fox Sports’ Erin Andrews.

The senator might be looking to re-enact Sherman’s performance:

How very intimidated the Republicans must be!

Or maybe not:

Maybe Sen. Murphy’s tweet had a typo:

  • twinx

I think he meant Richard Simmons…

    • TugboatPhil ✓Mate

I’d watch him “go all Richard Simmons” on Pay Per View!

      • nc ✓s & balances

        You Lie!

      • twinx

Here ya go, Tuggie…. just for you!

        • Michelle ✓classified

Wow. Whoa. That burns the retinas big time.

          • DixieAngel_76

            Quick, someone get the eyebleach!

        • 1CatEye

          Eye bleach! Quick!

        • ceemack

Dude…there’s no way we can un-see that.

        • TugboatPhil ✓Mate

          • Mark81150 Never/Trump/Hillary

            eee-yuck…. I’m with you Phil…

        • Doc Farmer ✓ᵛᵉʳᶦᶠᶦᵉᵈ

NOOOO! The Sequins, it BURRRRNS US…

        • DixieAngel_76

Eeeew. That sound you just heard was… oh never mind.

        • jukin

What has been seen cannot be unseen.

    • conservachick

hehehe. so hes going to yell into a microphone? oh noes! whatevers will we do!

how many weeks are we up to for unemployment “benefits” now? 99?

      • Mark81150 Never/Trump/Hillary

They extend it any further, they may as well just call it what it’s become under Obama, welfare. They can’t admit his economy sucks @ss, tell us constantly how great it’s doing.., but then they tell us unemployment benefits must last forever because they create “jobs”?

since when is being paid to stay home a job?

and why should they even look for work, if Obama and his crew of clown school rejects will pay them not to.

    • CatHerder ✓fire! ✓fire!

      Or William T. Sherman.

    • Conservative First

When I initially read the title, that’s what I thought it said.

  • Conservative First

So he’s going to act like any other lefty democrat…

    • Mark81150 Never/Trump/Hillary

pretty much……. hanging at the swing set with the rest of the “cool” 2nd graders.

  • nc ✓s & balances

You mean take the game winning moment and turn it into a joke? Kind of like what Obama did to your party.

  • Catchance

I think he means he’ll have a cup of cocoa and talk it over with his friends before telling the Republicans that he’s severely displeased.

    • TugboatPhil ✓Mate

I’m betting he has a PJ onesie with the Senate logo on it.

      • Mark81150 Never/Trump/Hillary

      • UpNorth2

Can’t find the logo, but here’s the “good” senator.

    • Mark81150 Never/Trump/Hillary

      greatly perturbed…..

I’m trying really hard to feel somehow threatened by this PeeWee sidekick…

      oh… wait..

      I’m not.

  • jukin

I think he meant he was a going to go all “Richard Simmons” on their asses.

    • DixieAngel_76

Hey, whoah now! That’s gettin’ a little personal there (sarc)!

    • Mark81150 Never/Trump/Hillary

now that’s just so wrong…. funny,

      but wrong…

in a I need a shower in straight bleach kind of way.

  • stuckinIL4now

Haven’t we had enough obnoxious for one night? And Sherman at least excels at football–what does Murphy do other than regurgitate libturd talking points?

    • Mark81150 Never/Trump/Hillary

Didn’t even know this Senator’s name till this post.

Not exactly a household name is he?

  • MartiniShark

You just know this dolt thought, “Oh yea, that’s some good energy!” He sends out that message the very moment the country is rising up to ridicule Sherman. Way to own the words of a socially stunted mouth-breather.

    • Mark81150 Never/Trump/Hillary

exactly… nothing like rushing to the head of the “cool” kids line to cash in on someone else’s fame…

just in time to own the stupidest rant of the moment… which he seems to think was pretty cool.

  • CyberCipher

Someone should tell Chris Murphy that the electorate is going to light up Democrats at the polls in 2014 in pretty much the same way that Peyton Manning is going to light up Richard Sherman in this year’s Super Bowl.

    • TheOriginalDonald

Like the NY Mets and the Dallas Cowpersons, I fear the GOP will predictably underperform

      • Mark81150 Never/Trump/Hillary

        Not the GOP..

The voters,.. just as outrage over Obamacare’s passage gave us 2010, the continuing train wreck that has affected millions, will affect even more millions, will motivate people, even many moderate democrats to throw the people who voted for it out.

I think we can count on people being p*ssed.. it’s what Obamacare does.

        • TheOriginalDonald

If it wasn’t for candidates like Mitt “MassCare” Romney and Linda “Vote For Me AND Obama” McMahon, we wouldn’t have Chris “I’m GOing Off Like Richard Sherman” Murphy around

          • Mark81150 Never/Trump/Hillary

I get your point, I can’t understand why the NY area GOP can’t find anyone to the right of that idiot Bloomberg either.

            They can’t find anyone?

or do they just enjoy throwing opportunities away?

          • UpNorth2

Those folks in the NY area GOP just enjoy seeing the “R” after a name, it doesn’t matter to them what kind of RINO it is.

  • Bonzai

It’s okay Murphy, I’m sure a nice free thinking, free market conservative will come and defeat you just like the Broncos are going to step all over the Seattle.

  • Michelle ✓classified

Why are there children running my country?

    • 1CatEye

They got voted into office by other greedy children who want the adults (tax-paying citizens) to pay for their free stuff.

    • CatHerder ✓fire! ✓fire!

      You misspelled ruining.

    • journogal

Because there is a large percentage of the electorate that are “child-like” and want to be coddle with freebies and have someone else make their decisions for them.

    • May or may not be Penguin

      Because children voted them in.

  • IndySkye

I think Senator Murphy was referring to Richard Sherman of the Sherman brothers and he intends to sing Feed The Birds (Two billion a bag) at the Republicans.

  • gracepmc

So the Republicans are the majority party in the Senate now. Who knew?

  • Jack Deth

Why not call in The Thing, The Hulk or Thor?

At least someone with some credibility.

    • tops116 ✓Quipper

“Chris Murphy smash!” would’ve sounded less ridiculous than his actual tweet.

  • ozconservative

Hopefully the GOP will “go all William Tecumseh Sherman” on the Democraps.

  • Michelle ✓classified

Wouldn’t it be great fun to go all Founding Fathers on the Democrats?

    • waltzingmtilda

      I’m in.

    • libertyordeath

    • John Thomas “Jack” Ward III

      Count me in…Paul Revere on a Mountain Bike… Jawamax 8<{D}

      • QueenB

Haven’t you heard? Paul Revere would think NSA spying is awesome!

        • Orpheus75

wasn’t that just pathetic? But then, everything that Nimrod says is pathetic. He keeps comparing himself to past Presidents and Founders, who was NOTHING like him.

  • David Johnson

Arizona beat the Seahawks & this idiot started calling the whole state a racist wasteland. He may need to have his meds re-evaluated or but down the bong!!

    • 3seven77

Wrong politician. This nitwit is from Connecticut not Washington.

      • TheOriginalDonald

Seattle can keep Murphy as a third senator

  • ceemack

Does that mean he’s going to make an ass of himself on national TV?

    • TheOriginalDonald

Why bring Billy Gunn to this discussion? #LindaMcMahonDidntWin!

  • brewerandpatriot

Sherman was just “going all Howard Dean” on Michael Crabtree. YAAAAAHHHH!

  • dangerousfreedom

I kept thinking of Richard Sherman of the Disney songwriting brothers – is he going to sing Mary Poppins songs?

  • tops116 ✓Quipper

Perhaps Murphy will guest star on South Park and lead the townspeople in another “RABBLE RABBLE RABBLE!” fest.

  • TheOriginalDonald

    Don’t blame me! I voted Libertarian #NoWayWasIVotingForLindaMcMahon

  • LR99

I would have thought he’s already lost his marbles considering he’s a Democrat!

  • waterytart

*snort*, guy’s about as scary as the etrade baby.

    • A-Train

I say to Murphy, do it! Show just how ridiculous and out of touch you are, with everyone, and just get it over already.

      • waterytart

Hear, hear! And then he’ll try and show everyone how tough he is by blowing his nose in his hand, since he seems so infatuated with sports “displays”!

        • A-Train

constatly licks his fingers like Drew Brees, when giving interviews/in debates.

Or just yells “Omaha!” when he gets a tough question?

          • waterytart

lol, thanks, good way to start a Monday, with a chuckle!

          • Karin_A

            Yuck, that’s disgusting!

          • A-Train

hahaha! I know. I’ve always thought ‘no wonder he’s always needing Nyquil/Dayquil’!

  • John Thomas “Jack” Ward III

    Hey, Senator Richard Sherman!-Why don’t you CLOWNS do something to Lower taxes, reduce regulations, and ALLOW more people to work?!? #NoBrainerAlert!! Instead, you’ll have More happy people working, and fewer miserable people on the Government Dole! And BTW, I’m ONE OF THEM!! Jawamax 8<{D}

  • DC is Evil

Someone needs to remind Chrissy Murphy that he IS Chrissy Murphy.

  • RD

My guess is it would be more like a rant from a character on the “Big Bang Theory”

  • Lee Lee

Ashamed of him here in Ct.

  • KhadijahMuhammad

Connecticut sure traded down when they lost Lieberman.

    • SlimWich

Right? How sad is that? Lieberman was sketchy at best, but between this moron and Dick “I lied about being in ‘Nam” Blementhal, being a resident of Connecticut is more embarrassing than ever. Add in the Mini Obama we have as governor and well, it’s not surprising we’re at the bottom of every economic chart there is.

      • KhadijahMuhammad

Yea, a sad situation. Plus on top of that, you pay absurd tax rates and high housing prices. Pity. Both CT and RI need to start thinking about what their consistent Dim votes are costing them.

  • Bundle Up

The liberty school recognizes that the quacks and superstitions which most threaten liberty become more widely accepted in times of crisis.

  • junkbondtrader41

There is nothing more precious than these low-T poster children who are white liberal males trying to talk tough.

    It ain’t working, dude …

  • GulfPundit

I think he’s confusing Richard Sherman with Richard Simmons.

  • goodbyeny

You’re going to aspire to be an arrogant, bullying a**hole? That shouldn’t be much of a stretch.

  • H50 ✓RAT

A democrat Senator threatening to have a hissy fit, like an impotent asshat, if he doesn’t get what he wants.
Must be a day ending in y.

  • cmerlo1

So he’s going to become a disrespectful thug?

  • 4liberty

That is all they do now-Lunatic rants with absolutely nothing to say!! Richard Sherman could be the poster child for the democratic party!!

    • anAmericanMom

      He already is!

  • anAmericanMom

Oh my, The very idiot that read treasonous as those working for America. Not those working against her.

Maybe Murphy/Grayson should add hair extensions to offer the total picture of some boar.

  • anAmericanMom

Lol, Adam Baldwin – Top tweet! -“If we don’t pass an unemployment benefits extension soon, I’m gonna go all Richard Simmons on the Republicans.”–

  • © Sponge

Why don’t you work to create an environment that enables job creation instead of handing out free money instilling lazyness and low self worth?

  • Calcat36

Democrat. Connecticut. The rest is just a demonstration of blind stupidity and allegiance to failure as only the left can be successful doing…

    • Axelgreaser

The Democ(RATS) love to pull the old Saul Alinsky tactic: “Do you have a better plan?” When debating with these communists, a very hard question to reduce down to the Dem’s favorite modus of politicking: ‘Sound Biting.’ Especially when you know the MSM is going to pour over every word and phrase to prop up even the most degenerate, unworthy and dishonest lying Democrat in close proximity. And, of course their ‘better plan’ to American prosperity, in their own words, over and over again from Obama to Pelosi has been, like as with Senator Murphy, ‘welfare extensions’ and ‘food stamps’ Vs unraveling 75 years of Democrat incompetence.

      • Calcat36

Indeed. While democrat are always joking, or taken out of context, ALL conservative or republican statements are not subject to context! A far as the better plan goes, shame on the GOP for NOT going public with the YES WE DO rebuttal!

Private health care accounts, tort reform, etc…

        Yet they simply roll over.

  • AmandaJeff Day

What happened when Howard Dean went all Richard Sherman on the campaign trail?

  • Ken Alan Draper

He better watch those goofy threats before some republican goes all “William Tecumsuh Sherman” on him.

  • andrewwhitehead

Wow…The Lion(TM) has spoken! I’m quaking in my boots that Chris Murphy is gonna go all “RIchard Sherman” on me.

Hey Chris, if you wanna go head to head with me, write and I’ll give you my address.
By the way, you can swing by Seattle and pick up Sherman.

    What a putz,
