Arizona Sen. John McCain flew into full “you kids get off my lawn” mode yesterday when Nebraska Sen. Deb Fischer dared offer any resistance to the border security provisions in the Gang of Eight’s immigration deal. Fischer had offered an amendment to the immigration bill, and McCain wasn’t thrilled in the least with any assumption that the bill he is co-sponsoring could be flawed in any way.

Video:

The full length clip is here.

We’re not quite sure what McCain’s point was, other than feeling a need to get his snarl on. How could a visit to the border serve as evidence of the effectiveness of legislation that hasn’t even been enacted yet?

Comment? STFU Meghan McCain’s father, you sell out.

  • HARP2

Oh just shut the hell up john.

    • Jeremy

I am tired of this blowhard. His daughter is a jerk as well.

  • http://apostrophejones.com/ Gloves Donahue, Jr.

Go back across the aisle, sit down, and stay there, my friend.

    • Jeremy

agreed. He might as well his status from (R) to (D) since he has been a RINO for too long.

      • Marjorie

He and Rubio should go bowling.

      • Marjorie

He and Rubio should go bowling.

  • Lftcoaster

Sen John McCain is the poster child of the RINO elite establishment Republican. Why voters continue to elect these leftist Republicans eludes the rational mind.

  • mickeyco

It’s time that Sen. McCain was thanked for his service and moved to a nice nursing home. Really, he’s lost all sense of dignity and respect for others.

    • Jeremy

I am thankful for his service he is a true hero unlike John “Fraud” Kerry but, like you said it doesn’t change his jerk attitude towards others.

      • GrandsonOGrumpus

        A serious question:
If a man, after performing feats of heroism over a period of years: charges exorbitant fees for those actions or trades on them for fame & fortune, or throws them in your face when it seems he won’t get his way– still a hero?

        • mickeyco

Valid question, but I’m sure not going there.

  • Texas56

What a condescending jerk McCain has become.

  • Steve_J

He should have been convicted along with Keating.

  • NixTyranny

With all due respect, Arizona voters, McCain, Flake and now even Brewer? Really?

  • Jeremy

    McCain was a disrespectful POS.

  • Jeremy
  • garygramscom

Had McCain been this direct in his 2008 presidential bid, maybe he would have won.

    • Jeremy

He screwed up by saying we should treat Obama with respect.Obama deserves no respect at all for wanting to destroy this country with his socialism.

      • azwi

He beat McCain by a landslide!

        • garygramscom

You’re not too good at following conversations are you?

      • garygramscom

McCain would have been a far cry better than the perpetual liar that is Obama.

        • nickdqwk

With Obummer he told us what we would get.
McCain still doesn’t know where the door is.

  • disqus_glB3YKQ95H

Senator McCain served his purpose, and now that time and purpose has come and gone. He needs to leave voluntarily, or be primaried by serious conservatives and tea partiers. We would be better off with anyone except this RINO.

    • Jeremy

I think an empty chair would be more effective then McCain at this point.

      • Dragomance

Nah,we got an empty chair.Either way,America was screwed.

        • Jeremy

Obama is an empty suit as well.

      • azwi

Actually McCain and Eastwood looked and acted, sounded and looked very similar at the RNC. Like two senile old men with senile dementia

        • Jeremy

Clint Eastwood was great but,McCain not so much.

  • KansasGirl

    What an empty man.

    • Jeremy

      just like his daughter.

    • Marjorie

He looks like the Michelin Man.

  • effinayright

The appropriate epitaph for John McCain can be written in advance:

“Brave then, Vicious and Stupid to the Bitter End.”

  • effinayright

I still have a bumper sticker I got through Michelle Malkin’s site on my car:

    “We’re Screwed -’08”

Correct then, even more Correct now.

  • Neil Leininger

It’s doubtful he wins the nomination to run again in 2016. Not soon enough to get this RINO out of office.

    • Jeremy

I can’t wait till he is out of there and I hope there is a strong conservative who runs against him.

      • azwi

I just want him out of there

        • Jeremy

oh i do too. There has to be someone to challenge him of course.I wish it was that easy.

    • azwi

      This guy got to go!

  • d1comment

It is up to you, Arizonans…

  • descolada9

As a Nebraskan, I am proud of my senator and hope she carries today’s snarlfest as a badge of honor!

    • Jeremy

I wonder what her reaction to McCain’s jerk remarks was.

  • Stephen K

John McCain – the Republican senator who hates his fellow Republicans more than he hates any Democrat, or any member of al Qaeda.

  • azwi

Beside from being the biggest warmonger is the senator, McCain is a biggest “HATE MONGER” in the senate. Isn’t it time the old guy retire?

    • FilleGitane

This senile old warmonger needs to go eat his tapioca pudding and go watch Golden Girls.

  • Ntr

His ‘statement’ in this is laughable at best. A bitter old RINO.

  • Medicinewoman2

Never underestimate the power of human stupidity.

    Robert A. Heinlein

  • radicallyalyssa

McCain’s been a serious disappointment. I hate having to look the other way from a military hero, but McCain…C’MON DUDE. You’re really making this difficult.

  • Oxbow

McCain should have been dumped in a shallow grave in Vietnam.

  • http://www.facebook.com/merl.johnston Merl Johnston

You realize McCain had brain surgery and the doctor told him there was only a 50/50 chance he would be alive let alone think right. Well guess what? He may have lived but his brain is gone and he should be removed from office for medical reasons. He is nuts and incompetent. Certainly not fit for duty.

  • Stephen L. Hall

We ought to repeal the 17th Amendment and go back to having state legislatures appoint Senators. That would certainly help curb their arrogance.

  • Steve_J

    McCain has very few principles.

  • notenoughtime

McCain, Graham, and the other RINO’s that run to any available microphone on a daily basis do need to move on to the next phase of their lives far, far away from politics. Be sure to take Meghan with you, too, because we have all suffered enough!

  • hrdbrgn

Put him in a pasture….he’s done.
    Neither side can trust him.
Feel free to wear your turban now john, and tell Megan it’s ok to don her burka.

  • hrdbrgn

And take linsey grahm with ya.

  • Marcy Cook

I wonder how much of the pork in that bill is going to benefit this moron? He’s getting a tad bit emotional on this issue and I think it’s because he’s afraid he’ll lose whatever he sold his vote for.

  • GrandsonOGrumpus

I see by the photo for this piece that “Crash” McCain’s been skipping his bran again…

Anyone else notice Crash starts to act-up when he misses his bran? I think the real reason for his “bipartisan reach-around” are his fellow Proggies are holding his bran & ExLax™ hostage…

Hey, McShame, why is it okay for you guys call yourselves a “gang”?

  • NCRelite

There was a study that said people usually listen to the person that sounds the most confident even if they’re wrong versus the thoughtful person that hedges their bets. That immediately made me think of McCain.

Is McCain going to slug it out with everyone who doesn’t support the Gang of 8″s work on immigration.? Well I hope he puts on his boxing gloves and has patience because not everyone is a fan of the bill. John should really retire. He looks ridiculous and as a Senator for so many years he is out of control. So Fischer questioned to change the bill…that’s no reason to go ballistic. He’s become a pathetic old geezer with nothing left to offer …time to leave the stage Johnny. Being disrespectful to others only shines a negative light on oneself and John as achieved that.
