NBC News: Conservative Groups in Virginia Trying to Flip the State Senate

AP Photo/Eduardo Munoz Alvarez

I've asked this before, but what is up with NBC News lately? We've got the latest news from NBC BLK and NBC OUT. I'd always thought that MSNBC was the insane cousin of NBC News, but NBC News has become an utter joke in what it covers and the angle from which it covers it. Take this headline, for example:

And?

Alexandra Marquez reports:

One issue that Democrats have seized on in this election is abortion. Gov. Glenn Youngkin and other Republicans have promised to pass a 15-week limit on abortion in Virginia if they win the state government trifecta.

AFP doesn't consider abortion in their messaging to voters, opting instead to focus on the economy, crime and education.

Virginia has seen a few razor-close elections in recent years, giving groups like AFP backup for their belief that every single voter contact could matter.

AFP is Americans for Prosperity. And they're campaigning for the Republican candidate. Crazy, right?

We're not sure how this is a news story other than it involves "conservative groups" who are trying to flip the whole state red. Does that concern NBC News? They're campaigning on education and taxes? We wonder who tipped off NBC News to this nefarious plot.
