President Obama passes on meeting with leader who called him a 'son of a whore'

It was a while back, but wasn’t the election of Barack Obama supposed to win back the world’s respect of the United States after George W. Bush had ruined America’s reputation with his warmongering?

As Twitchy reported, President Obama is currently burning up tons of jet fuel on his goodbye tour, which didn’t start well when the Chinese not only didn’t roll out the red carpet for their guest — they didn’t even roll up stairs, leaving Obama to “go out of the ass” of Air Force One in what observers called a deliberate snub.

There was more turbulence Monday when a change of plans saw a scheduled meeting with Rodrigo Duterte, president of the Philippines, cancelled abruptly by the White House.

It might have had something to do with President Duterte calling Obama a “son of a whore” (or a “son of a bitch,” depending on which press agency you ask) in a press conference when asked how he’d respond if Obama brought up the thousands of extrajudicial killings the government has racked up in its war on drugs.

At least there’s no chance of Obama bowing to his “colorful” host if he stays out of the country entirely.

Maybe he should have saved the snorkeling trip (in search of climate change damage) off of Hawaii for last. Or maybe he should have met with Duterte as scheduled and asked exactly the questions Duterte didn’t want asked; after all, this the president who’s commuted the sentences of hundreds of drug offenders because he considers their punishment outdated and unduly harsh.
