Biden Treasury nominee says we want the oil, gas, and coal industries to go bankrupt

President Joe Biden started killing jobs on the first day of his presidency, signing an executive order closing down the Keystone XL pipeline. We’ve been assured that anyone displaced from a job in the fossil fuel industry is going to have wonderful opportunities in the green jobs sector, such as wind turbine technicians or solar panel builders.

Biden’s nominee to be comptroller of the currency, Saule Omarova, has said what we need to do if we want to tackle climate change: we want the oil, gas, and coal industries to go bankrupt.
