Hillary Clinton didn’t just win the South Carolina primary; she routed Bernie Sanders by a margin of around 74 to 26 percent. Sanders supporter Tim Robbins, introducing the candidate in Wisconsin, tried to downplay that landslide victory by comparing it to “winning Guam” and insulting South Carolina voters in the process.
Introducing @BernieSanders, @TimRobbins1 hits Clinton's primary wins: Winning South Carolina is like "winning Guam" https://t.co/igFHlLoIZv

A further suggestion that Sanders supporters had gummed up the works for presumptive nominee Clinton by refusing to get in line like sheep didn’t sit well with Clinton supporters either, including actress Debra Messing.
1-Disrespectful to the people of South Carolina. And to Clinton supporters. https://t.co/lVZ5CMYAuX
— Debra Messing (@DebraMessing) April 4, 2016
2- But we've learned that, sadly, that is BernieorBust supporters' Way. The attacks & vitriol are ugly&unnecessary. https://t.co/lVZ5CMYAuX

@DebraMessing @sepulvedaj3 hey @TimRobbins1 I guess winning Ohio by double digits was like winning guam as well that's why #ImWithHer
— Maxine Baptiste (@brownsugar7878) April 4, 2016
@DebraMessing I guess the double-digit win in Florida doesn't count either
— Sheila Fowler ???? (@rockafowlers) April 4, 2016
Just how ugly have things become?
@DebraMessing @sepulvedaj3 This has become not just about winning, but about beating your opponent.

Robbins eventually owned up and placed the blame where it belonged: on ABC News, for quoting him.
No disrespect to voters of SC or Guam. Was making a point about MSM anointing HRC after SC primary. No surprise ABC took it out of context.
— Tim Robbins (@TimRobbins1) April 4, 2016
@TimRobbins1 How about disrespect for those of us who you called sheep?
— Willing to discuss (@buffsblg) April 4, 2016
@TimRobbins1 Get a clue Tim. The PEOPLE are voting for her. WE THE PEOPLE does not mean WE THE SARANDON AND ROBBINS PEOPLE.
— Fire On The Mountain (@toodeemo) April 4, 2016
@TimRobbins1 And make no mistake, I am not a "sheep." I'll match my political awareness with yours any time you want to test it.
— Fire On The Mountain (@toodeemo) April 4, 2016
.@TimRobbins1 you were saying that southern votes don’t matter – we know exactly what you meant. #allvotescount #DoTheMath #southernvoter

@TimRobbins1 people bust their asses to get democrats in the south elected. We matter, bro.
— Charlie (@notcharchar) April 4, 2016
.@TimRobbins1 And stop blaming @ABCNews No change in context from simply broadcasting your address that insulted me and every Dem in SC
— Rob Groce (@regroce) April 4, 2016
@TimRobbins1 @joanwalsh Nobody missed your point…or the context…next time you apologize, try to leave out the self-justifying excuses.
— Not GDS Debate (@GDSdebate) April 4, 2016
@TimRobbins1 nice attempt to deflect & blame it on the media. Your comments were as clear as day. #pathetic
— GQ (@GQue242) April 5, 2016
@TimRobbins1 No, I think that statement in any context is condescending. Nice try. Bless your heart.
