So, what did it take to win the coveted “douchiest tweet of the day” award? This:

Got it? Just as Obama’s “team of merry manchildren” faulted Mitt Romney for not providing in his op-ed the solution to the Ukraine crisis, Politico’s Dylan Byers seems to think that you can’t call Obama “weak” unless you tell him what he should be doing.

Yeah, like that.

Time travel seems to be central to a winning Ukraine strategy.

Well, since we don’t have time travel yet, what do you think Obama could do to not appear weak?

As long as we’re laying down the rules…

  • R.C.

He is weak. I wish he would resign. He is not resigning. Is that clear enough for Chump Byers?

    • nickdqwk

I think you’re on to something, he could show strength by resigning and putting Biden in charge.
Never mind I lost it for a minute. ;^)

        Could Biden be any WORSE?

        • Eric

If nothing else, it would mean people could disagree with him without being hit by a race card foul.

    • carmenta

Unless there has been a constitutional amendment that I’m unaware of, this ‘champ’ can go to he!! and back before I’ll stop saying what is patently obvious – obama is WEAK! Weak, Weak, Weak!!!

carmenta said, “Unless there has been a constitutional amendment that I’m unaware of, this ‘champ’ can go to he!! and back before I’ll stop saying what is patently obvious – obama is WEAK! Weak, Weak, Weak!!!”

Come on, Carmenta! Don’t mince words. Tell us how you REALLY feel!

Do you think Obama is Weak?

    • iconoclast

Resign? And put our national village idiot in charge of the federal government and our foreign policy.

Two words that should strike fear into your very soul:

      President Biden

      • almarquardt

John Nance Garner (VP for FDR) once said the Vice Presidency is worth as much as a bucket of warm piss. We currently have a man occupying that very office who’s as smart as a bucket of warm piss. Ah, symmetry!

    • irishgirl91

Won’t leave, his pen still has ink even if the world knows he has no lead in his pencil.

  • QueenB

The only thing weaker than Obama’s foreign policy is this doucenozzle’s tweet.

    • Hey, That’s Pretty Good

And the other typical defense liberals have when Obama is being criticized. The race card.

      • mrspinky85

That’s so sicking and it irks me. I mean the word equality is thrown around so much but not when it comes to critiquing. If every other President, especially Dubya, can be criticized so can he. And we use the same standards sometimes that Senator Obama himself used. He called out Bush for raising the debt ceiling and trying to broaden the scope of the Executive Branch. Hypocrisy, lying and weakness are all colorblind. Maybe if he was all that as he his worshipers claim, then maybe we all would be on board

      • neyney

Politico translates into “shills for Obama and the Dems 24/7. This isn’t a news organization and never was. It’s a Dem propaganda website.

  • mbs235

I’m sensing a theme on twitter today. Sounds like Obama is desperate for someone to tell him what to do.

However, as William F Buckley famously stated:
“I’d rather be governed by the first 100 names in the Boston telephone book than by the faculty of Harvard”…

Not sure an average American citizen could do any worse than the Obama WH…there’s something to be said for old-fashioned common sense over the Ivy League faculty lounge bubble mentality.

    • Apostic

I’m not seeing the problem. The POTUS is doing just fine as a leader. For example, the Russians have promoted him to Lt. Colonel:

…and that would be for an actual accomplishment, not like that “hope for the future” Nobel he got.

      More here.

    • Deborah Hallsted

I for one would love to tell him what to do.

“New rule, champs: You don’t get to fault Obama for being ‘weak’ unless you clearly state what you want him to do that he’s not doing.”

    S D Winkler @sdwinkler
“@DylanByers says one cannot assert that Obama’s weakness enabled Putin’s aggression. He feels weakness is only a present tense construct.”

Even newer rule: How’s about you keep a civil tongue in your head, Byers Remorse, and don’t use a word like “champ” when your tone obviously says “chump.” And don’t play fast-and-loose saying we can’t call Barry weak based on what he’ll be doing now, when everyone’s point is that we are where we are now because he’s been weak. But at this point, what diff does it make, right, “champ”? Sheesh– talk about changing the rules in the middle of the game!

  • CLEmom

Hey Byers…all we want him to do is his freaking job.
Not to waste time, energy, and resources:

Of the topic communication: Are you planning on attending Merrie Monarch Festival in April this year, 2014?

If we could afford it we would like to attend. I am homeschooling our children so I don’t know how we can do so even with the means to pay for the trip, unless the kids do some school work while we are there. I must have them logged in to the main school office daily, plus turn in their work every few weeks for grading.

I’d like to go. If only we could manage it.

Since you are in close proximity, are you planning on attending?

Regarding Dylan Byers and Obama and the Obama being weak, he IS weak, an effete, ineffective, dangerously in-over-his head, not good for the job, narcissistic, arrogant, condescending, offensive community organizer, rabble rowser. He is not a strong, enlightened, wise leader.

Cult devotees, like Dylan Byers, don’t help the issue one bit.

        • H50 ✓RAT

Nope, for two reasons, one its on a different island, second the tickets are sold out years in advance and Im am not well enough connected to get tickets. Get tickets before you plan a trip, its not like you can walk up to the window and buy them at the door.

Its televised from start to finish, so I enjoy it on the big scree from the comfort of my lazy-boy. You can hear a pin drop in town when its on, everybody seems to do the same. Its also live streamed on the internet by KITV (I think) if you want to watch it.

I do agree that sycophants like Byers are simply enablers and a crutch to a feckless and ineffectual POTUS. Its so in your face now, that it can not be denied.

    • QueenB

lol I was at a girls weekend with some friends and they started going on and on about my politics. When I worked from home, I had much more time to post on FB and whatnot. Anyway, they are going on and on for a bout 10 minutes. I finally say, “hey guys, do you realize you’ve been talking about my politics for the past 10 minutes, and I haven’t said one word about anything political tonight?” They felt rather stupid. lol

      • mrspinky85

They feel embolden and arrogant when they are with those who think like they do. There are no real conversations about how we all can get along. Its always this arrogance like they know it all that really use to bother me that I let go of a while ago.

    • steve_morris_CPO-, USN(RET)

One of my progressive relatives tries this all the time. I always answer in the say way. Reach for my belt and ask: Do you what to kiss my ass now or later? For fun, whenever she starts out a discussion point with “I feel” vs. “I think”, I ask if she’s masturbating. On the other hand, her “feel” talking points are very entertaining. No logic, no reference to past outcomes, and no endgame.

      • allyall

And lots of foot stomping, pouting and tears! Emotion trumps reason every freakin’ time.

  • Comrade Hadenov

To paraphrase the “reverend” Wright, “GD free speech!” You can’t cry fire in a crowded theatre and, by golly, you better not call Obama weak without specifically telling him what you want him to do. Obama is weak and he can go to a small town in Michigan. Is that clear enough, Mr Byers?

    Here’s three things:

Growing a spine for starters. Let the world know we don’t want to unload a can of whoop a** on them, but, we’re not afraid to do so if needed.

Dealing with his past instead of ordering the records sealed. Pure cowardice.

Not playing the race card every time someone says “boo” to him.

    • mrspinky85

It really gets my goat when people use the race or gender card. They champion supposed equality but when they get criticized just like anyone else in the position would they scream racist or misogyny. This is a spit in all the faces of those who worked hard despite their race or gender and also those who broke the glass ceiling. They wanted these jobs so I don’t want to hear the crying.

  • mrspinky85

This is a sad attempt at getting ideas of what to do. He knew the job was dangerous when he took it. They’re asking for ideas after the fact. The left doesn’t get to make this everyone else’s fault because we won’t help. Maybe he should’ve came up with an idea instead of mocking Romney. How bossy of you to think we have to do what you say. Twice this country could’ve chosen someone else who had an idea of what to do. Remember elections have consequences.

    • trixiewoobeans

Who says Obama disapproves of Putin’s actions? Everybody just assumes an “American” would condemn it, but he’s probably not American, was raised by Communists, and told Putin he’d have more latitude if reelected. I mean, remember how chummy they were? I know I’m going out on a limb here, but he may not have a problem with this at all.

I thought the ‘new rule’ was that we couldn’t be bossy? I cant keep up with all the new rules being issued by people I dont know, who have never been elected and who dont have any legal or moral authority to tell me what the he!! to do!
So, how about this for ‘clearly stating’ what obama should do – he should immediately apologise in detail for every lie, deception and half-truth he and his administration have prattled. He should, with his pen and his phone, dissolve his administration in its entirety, having first ascertained that Mitt Romney is prepared to lead the nation until the next presidential election. He should, without delay, remove himself from the US, a self-imposed exile in Gitmo would be too good for him and his bossy wife!

I have a suggestion for what Obama can do! Since he has no clue how to handle any situations that are tougher than “blue tie or black tie?”, maybe he should resign. He doesn’t know squat about foreign policy, and as we’ve seen here at home his policies aren’t exactly doing anything to make this country a better place. So he should resign. Exactly accurate.

    Dylan Byers tweeted:
“New rule, champs: You don’t get to fault Obama for being “weak” unless you clearly state what you want him to do that he’s not doing.”

That is easy, be the president, not just act like a president.

  • MNWoman

New rule champs (or in this case low info voters):

No voting for Obama unless you can give concrete examples of what he has done well.

    • E Quilibrate

I think no voting at all, unless you pay taxes.

  • Kabong30

Let Maher do Maher, we have enough giant a-holes stinking the place up.

  • Kristine ✓ᵛᵉʳᶦᶠᶦᵉᵈ

    Because TARDIS all the things!

  • Walter Sobchak

How about acting like a goddamn man who pisses standing up so fascist thugs like Comrade Vladamir won’t get any ideas in the first place? How about not shooting his mouth off about “red lines” he has no intention of enforcing? How about not crapping on allies like Poland by reneging on defense agreements? That would be a good start.

    • idalily

The thing is, I think Obama really believes that all he has to do is draw the red line and other world leaders will slink away in awe of his mighty presence. I think it shocks the crap out of him every time they don’t react that way. He is, after all, the one he was waiting for.

  • E Quilibrate

Someone recently said ‘Weakness is provocative.’

  • objectivefactsmatter

His whole approach is strategic weakness and we’re commenting on the fruit. What to do? Go back in time to 2007 where he declines to run for POTUS.

  • Michael Rice

THe funny part it, I think libs never expect answers to these idiotic statements.

  • Mark_Melrose

    Quit! Now.

  • Green Eyed Lady

New rule, champs: You don’t get to fault Obama for being “weak” unless
you clearly state what you want him to do that he’s not doing.

Barry should give Gov.Palin a call….like Death panels, she saw all this coming…….right, again.

  • Mark_Melrose

Byers is just another corrupt member of the media. Politico is particularly bad – DC Insiders, all.

  • Mark_Melrose

Have Obama resign. Turn it over to Joe. Then have Joe put Sheila Jackson Lee as VP. Biden then resigns. Kind of like putting a pet to sleep.

    • Nan

That woman can’t handle the constitution.

  • $22639970

“New rule, champs: You don’t get to fault Obama for being “weak” unless you clearly state what you want him to do that he’s not doing.”
How about “Obey the fuckin’ Constitution!”

  • JR48

Glad that we cannot go back in time, else our dear leaders would ravage our NATO treaty. We’re legally obligated to protect our allies. Too bad for them, they might actually have to DO something except blather and bloviate.

As to ‘rules’? Who died and made you hall monitor, chuckles? LOL Get outta here.

  • Jasper Ball-Baggins

Do any of you actually read Byers, know that he is one of the few defenders of the right and from the right at Politico, and that, if you knew he is sympathetic to Republicans just MIGHT have been making an ironic tweet meant to mock the left? Can any of us actually understand such thinking. Or must we always be knee-jerk defamers reminiscent of the angry left we despise?

  • Jasper Ball-Baggins

Apparently, most of you don’t read Byers regularly. He is one of VERY FEW people who leans to the right at Politico. Consistently. I read his post as a sarcastic jab AT THE LEFT because I actually read how and what Byers writes. The quote around the word WEAK are like those air quotes you throw around something you want to malign. His whole point is that suddenly you can’t blast Obama for being weak because the left will disingenuously demand specifics when the examples of weakness are obvious and manifold. But, yes, let us continue to remain clueless and eat our own. We did the same thing to Jake Tapper when he was talking to Marcus Luttrell about good men dying meaninglessly. Tapper’s point was simple – these medieval idiots and their backward cultures in the middle east are simply not worth the lives of such good men as the SEALs that died that day in Afghanistan. But the right was quick to blast Tapper when he is one of the few fair to us. Take a breath, idiots!

    • Corey Dennison

Line breaks are your friend. Especially when, at the end of your condescension you tell us to take a breath.

By the way, your rant sucked the first time you posted it.

  • mhojai

lap dogs laying down “rules” = rich…
Looks like Dylan’s already wore out those knee pads he got for Christmas…
    shamefully pathetic…

  • jukin

How thick are those knee pads of the media that they are still walking after fluffing King Barky the Incompetent?

  • William2010

Champ Dylan Byers slumming it for Obama.

    Obama IS Weak!

Because of HIS weakness, thanks to the uninformed, low intelligence, low information voters who elected, then reelected him, we, and the world, are in deep doo doo.

It does not help to have Obama as Commander-in-Chief, for he is an effete president and commander.

He is in over his head, a narcissistic, smug, arrogant, condescending, full of himself, divisive, destructive, bigoted, racist fool.

    • TitzyFritzensimmons

Just read “The Sociopath Next Door” to see a description of Obama.

    I’m confused by this assclown’s term “new”…

He certainly can’t mean as in “today”, because this has been the stance for sycophants like Byers since this foreign policy whiz took office.

I know! By “new” he means late January 2009! Because Byers and all of the other Obama rump-kissers never applied that philosophy to his predecessor.

  • Gallatin

    Not show his weakness to begin with by saying this;

dylan byers you are obviously a foreign policy GIANT, what did obowmao mean when he said that to Putin er sorry Medvedev, oh hell I got it right the first time Putin?

  • Perry

    • ErikandKathy Muller

You mean…girly man! Say it with a German accent!

    • Jones

After this throw he was asked to put on a Cubs jacket and never come back.

    • ohspareme

I think this is an insult to girls & women everywhere! I think “Celebrating our first p*ssy” of a President” is more fitting! Girls are tough, Obama is not..

  • Dan13

This is how the Obama administration searches for ideas.

  • stellatruman

I used to think that we, as a nation would not be able to handle two more years of obama, but the truth is , the WORLD cannot handle two more years. We are living in scary times with president mom jeans at the helm

  • Russthecurious

Following the rule, my first request would be for Obama to just find a nice quiet room and not come out for the next 2-1/2 years. No more executive orders. No more condescending remarks. No more hopeless attempts to seem presidential. No more initiatives. No more reversals on laws that have been passed. No more stimulus packages. Just stop. Leave us alone. Let the economy work instead of doing your best to destroy it. This country could actually improve economically if the white house would just “SHUT UP!!!!”

    • Jones

      Love the cat avatar!

      • Russthecurious

Believe it or not, Mandy (the cat in question) will find the oddest places to go to sleep and she has had other classic poses. She’s actually a munchkin breed and votes conservative as well.

        • Jones

          Mandy for President, then!!!!

  • spaceycakes

first of all, I’m not your ‘champ’, and secondly, you don’t get to tell me what I can criticize. P*ss off

  • sleazyrider

From the day he started his mission to “fundamentally change this country” I’ve been telling him to go straight to hell. He’s like whipping a dead horse..Mr Byers..

  • jwmiller

@DylanByers Okay then let’s just talk about Brackets or WH Pastry Chef resigning.

  • CaptDMO

    @DylanByers: OK, cede the throne.

  • forgetyoutooo

I love it. I am so sick of every liberal changing the subject by turning it into “what would the GOP do”, “what’s the GOP’s plan” and like the sheep of the left the Republican establishment and media follow.

  • Golphin

Don’t call me champ, Chef Boyardee.
Now swallow hard and repeat Hope and Change two million times.

  • $59154503

Apparently the That’s Racist!!! Excuse is wearing awfully thin these days…

That and foreign leaders like Comrade Putin don’t give a flying fornication about that lame excuse for the Barack the illegitimate’s rank incompetence.

  • John

Heres what he should do “RESIGN”* Their you go Dylan.

  • costa rozza

My rule is when you are POTUS you have the responsibility to set policy. I’m not the POTUS you see, so you cannot pin his FAIL on my not having a plan.

  • Rex

The accepted consensus of criticism is that the wrong decision was already made to warrant criticism. If you want us to patronize you, given Obama’s prior foreign policy failures of “empty threats no action” in Syria or Iran, it would have been easier for him to shut up. That was a far better option.

  • LegalizeShemp

New liberal rule, you can’t point out their failures unless you have an even worse idea about how government can screw up our lives.

  • LegalizeShemp

It’s hilarious how liberals think they get to decide what we talk about, what the rules about speech are, and how long we can discuss their waste of money and failure to solve problems as they promised.

  • A-Train

their ‘leader’ is so pathetic, they’re literally begging for ideas on what he should do.

    • stuckinIL4now

And should he adopt an idea from his critics and it works, then he’ll claim credit for it being his idea.

      • A-Train

go check out huffpo or other rags’ comments sections about how Romney said ‘see I told you so’. All the know-nothing-know-it-alls are blabbering on about how Mitt just needs to ‘go away’ and everyone knew ‘he was just lying the whole campaign’ and how ‘he wants to screw the poor!’.
they can’t get past the simple fact HE CALLED THIS, and the morons are still mocking him. I’d imagine, if we go back to the original ‘geo-political foe’ lines/articles, they were mocking that (especially considering the ‘president’ did, during the debates, and we know how sheepish/parroting they are of deal-leader)!
He got this right, yet, is still a ‘liar’ somehow?!
Sometimes I wonder “do they know they’re being intellectually dishonest, or are just too stupid to realize it?”

        • idalily

I wonder the same thing. I truly do.

  • stuckinIL4now

Hey Douche Byers, here’s a rule for criticizing Obumuh: How ’bout you leftistproglibturd Obumuh butt-kissing slimestream mediots try actually criticizing him and holding him accountable for what he does. He’s been repeating the same mistakes over and over and over again since the start of his prezuhduncy so this way we can cover past, present and future with our criticisms

    • A-Train

heck, I’d just take honest reporting. don’t even need to criticize, as the reporting SHOULD speak for itself…
      Won’t hold my breath though.

  • Barry A. Brewer

Easy enough: Sanction Russia and I mean fully. Build the Keystone Pipeline and start drilling and exporting EVERYWHERE. So, does this mean I am free to call Oprompta weak now? WEAK!!!

  • interestedobserver2

New rule: Dylan Byers should be tarred and feathered for a) being an enabler to the worst President in our history; b) for unmitigated stupidity; c) for writing tweets without use of forebrain.

  • Jones

Thanks for finally recognizing his INABILITY to lead. Where ya been?

  • Justwaitinforchange

I wish he would go back in time and not run for president, he clearly doesn’t want to do the heavy lifting. BTW Dylan Byers is a DB.

  • DavidKramer

@DylanByers Good lapdog, now go lay down by your Obama For America dog dish. Will Obama himself rub your belly for that one?

  • buddygonzo

Sorry Dylan, weenies don’t make rules for others. As demonstrated by Obama…

  • ohspareme

    “champs”? What a tool…

  • neyney

How about not pulling our missile defense out of Poland? Obama is a mom jean wearing wuss and Putin knows it.
