Things looked dire earlier this week when it was announced that former president George H.W. Bush had been admitted to the intensive care unit of Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas, with a stubborn fever. Soon after the announcement, Bush asked through an aide that people “put the harps back in the closet” because his condition was improving.

Sure enough, Bush spokesman Jim McGrath has announced today that Bush has been moved out of intensive care and back into a regular room.

Bush has been hospitalized since Nov. 23 for treatment of a persistent cough. We wish him a speedy and full recovery.

Were the Oak Ridge Boys responsible for pulling Bush back from the brink?

Haha, my first thought was of the campy movie hostess. “Hell yeah, who wouldn’t?!?”

  • Jay McHue

Proving that simple, humble prayers to God work while the left’s very best death wishes did exactly bupkis.

i am glad george is still here too, he is the only president i ever met in person.

I hope he gets well. I understand he was doing okay but he refused medical treatment.

    He said to the doctors:

“Read my lips: no new drugs!”

    • Bob Smooper

I understand his condition worsened after the doctor refused to administer a repeat dose! A bit like his political career you could say. Just one term!

      • Bob Smooper

The doctors needed to find someone mentally capable to put on his records for next of kin. Sadly, only his son was in the room at the time and the doctors were at a loss!

The only thing lower than his odds of reaching his next birthday are Sarah Palin’s chances of getting into Mensa!

          • Rick Hess

10,000 comedians out of work and we get stuck with you? What a putz you are and I imagine that even though Sarah might not be able to gain entrance to Mensa, she’s still a 100 IQ points ahead of you.

C’mon! Mark’s just auditioning for his own psitcom.

Hey, ya know why Teddy Kennedy died of brain cancer?
He didn’t want to be the only brother to die without a hole in his head!
/You really want to go with this way? Well, do ya, punk?

    • PennyRobinsonFanClub

      You are a vile pig.

      • Bob Smooper
