A photo of Chris Kyle’s burial has surfaced on social media, and it appears to show that more than 100 Navy SEAL trident pins were pounded into the casket by Kyle’s fellow warriors.   A fitting send-off for an American hero.

Rest in peace, Chris Kyle. You will indeed be missed.

Our headline was revised to say that the pins were pounded into the casket, not “left” on it.

Even though you haven’t gotten the recognition you deserve from the sitting administration @Chris Kyle, there are a lot of us who respect, honor and thank you for your service. We also wish you God Speed.

Amen. Somehow,I think that the outpouring of grief, concern, love and prayers for Chris Kyle and his family from the nation means more than a token gesture or words would have from Washington.

The POS in the WH isn’t worthy of Speaking Chris Kyle or Chad Littlefield’s name. .. . at least he didn’t make their deaths a political statement. .. for that I am glad.

Unlikely you will ever see that many Tridents on a casket again.

    That says it all.

His funeral procession passed by my parents house today. My dad was driving through Williamson County and it was a sight to see. Thousands lined I-35, saluting as the procession passed and waving flags. At dozens of overpasses were fire trucks, lights blaring and ladders extended to form crosses (or X shapes) with other fire truck ladders. Police cars set their lights flashing as they waited along the roadside. Williamson County, Texas honored Chris Kyle as he passed by and wished him RIP.

I’ve seen this performed before. With ten tridents. I wouldn’t have been able to stay there if I’d seen this one performed.
