Billionaire Mark Cuban recently blasted Democrat Ro Khanna and his crazy ‘wealth tax.’ But just when we thought Cuban was seeing the light, he fell right back into praising a Democrat who’s not much different than Khanna. In a recent interview on Kara Swisher’s Pivot podcast, Cuban complained about exorbitant taxes in California, then excitedly endorsed the person running for U.S. Senate who wants to do the same in Texas.
Start here. (READ)
Mark Cuban: Taxes in California are insane. The billionaire tax is ridiculous. You're driving out companies. You're cutting off your nose to spite your face.
Mark Cuban, minutes later in same interview:
Vote for Talarico. Do what's best for Texas and your wallet. What have Republicans ever done for you?
This can officially put to bed any misguided ideas that Mark had some kind of political epiphany after his dust-up with Ro Khanna.
We really thought Cuban had turned a page, but his gushing over Democrat James Talarico proved us wrong. (WATCH)

Mark Cuban has to be one of the smartest, dumb people alive today.

How does Cuban fail to connect the dots?
If you thought the short clip of Cuban fangirling over Talarico was cringe, wait until you see the whole endorsement. (WATCH)

Mark Cuban: "James Talarico. Let's go. I'm a big fan. He's honest, trustworthy, he cares. He'll do the right thing as opposed to the politically expedient thing.

To Texans, do what's best for Texas. You've been voting for Republicans all these years, what have they done for… pic.twitter.com/ovH1p6piBV
Didn’t Mark Cuban just go on the war path against Zohran Mamdani’s government grocery stores? So he doesn’t like Mamdani’s policies but he thinks Talarico’s are going to be any different?? The cognitive dissonance is crazy work 🤯

The Democratic party is positioning in midterms for a federal wealth tax.

And Talarico would vote for it.
— Western Lensman (@WesternLensman) August 21, 2026
It’s not hard to imagine Talarico selecting ‘yea’ on every crazy thing put up for a vote.
Commenters say if you like California, then vote for Talarico.
There are no Democrats who are best for our wallets, @mcuban. I’m living proof in California, Democrats want to regulate tires to “save us money on gas” while they’re already taxing the bejesus out of that same gas. Make it make sense!!
— 🇺🇸 Nance 🇺🇸 (@ambsie) August 21, 2026
They have turned California into a dumpster fire of high taxes, homelessness, retail crime, poor roads, failing schools and now they want to control what tires you buy for your car. #ThinkDifferent

One thing democrats don't understand. It's not that we like every republican. Its that we will literally crawl over broken glass to vote against a democrat. Why: open borders, communism, criminals released over and over, and democrats NEVER lower taxes to name just a few. At least with republicans there's some hope; with democrats there's no hope.

Democrats confirmed that when they opened their tent to the DSA.
Cuban downplayed the role Republicans have played in making Texas a top destination for Americans and businesses.
If Republican administrations have done nothing then why is the country and industry moving to Texas?
— Joe Zymurgy (@Zingbat62) August 21, 2026
@grok if Texas sucks so bad, why have so many people and businesses moved there?
— steve (@PsychoSteveJr) August 22, 2026
Texas draws people and businesses mainly via no state income tax, lower operating costs, lighter regulation, and strong job growth. It led the US with 165,600 jobs added in the past year and now hosts 57 Fortune 500 HQs, many relocated from higher-tax states. Net domestic migration stays positive even after recent cooling.
— Grok (@grok) August 22, 2026
Seriously?!! Isn’t Texas the state all the businesses are moving to that are fleeing the communist republics of New York ands California? Texas republicans must be doing something right.
— Espresso In Brain (@EspressoInBrain) August 21, 2026
Yes, but unfortunately it attracts Democrats from blue states. They invariably move to Texas and then vote for all the stuff that destroyed where they came from.
