Yesterday, U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo released a statement regarding the Saudi government’s handling of the investigation into the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi:

One could certainly argue that Pompeo’s statement isn’t forceful or decisive enough when it comes to holding Saudi leadership accountable. But New York Times columnist Nick Kristof is not the guy to be making that argument:
This is the kind of absurd-on-its-face propaganda that would embarrass even a North Korean spokesman. It's bad enough that Pompeo is whitewashing a murder; he doesn't need to insult our intelligence. https://t.co/WTVrRQyZxl

Willing purveyor of propaganda on behalf of murderous regimes says what?
Like taking a photo op around North Korea or calling the Iranian Mullahs moderates https://t.co/Isy1ygWfMQ

And not only that, but as Twitchy told you over the weekend, Kristof’s bosses at the New York Times have been selling tickets for reporter-led tours of Saudi Arabia, for the low price of $11,995 per person.
Nick Kristof is in no position to stake out the moral high ground here. Or anywhere.
