'There goes that': CNN taps Clay Aiken for Super Tuesday analysis [pics]

It’s Super Tuesday, folks. Which means it’s time to call in the experts for their sharp analysis.

Unfortunately, it seems this was the best CNN could do:

CNN has Clay Aiken on to comment about #SuperTuesday because no one with any political acumen would agree to be on.

It really happened.

CLAY AIKEN IS ON CNN ANALYZING SUPER TUESDAY.

— Krister Johnson (@KristerJohnson) March 1, 2016

Clay Aiken currently providing Super Tuesday analysis on CNN.

Clay Aiken is on CNN right now, ID'ed as a former congressional candidate (which he is). So there's that.

Politics aside, lets all agree @CNN played a vital #SuperTuesday role by bringing Clay Aiken on to talk about Trump pic.twitter.com/HxqceEaquJ

Wish I could say Clay Aiken breaking down Donald Trump as a CNN commentator was a low point in news but it's actually not close.

1) Turned on CNN.

2) Saw that CNN is interviewing Clay Aiken(?!) about his thoughts on Super Tuesday. ??

3) Turned off CNN.

Tried watching CNN. Pulled up stream. American Idol's CLAY AIKEN is on. Says: "Hillary certainly probably should win today." /Closes stream

Clay Aiken, who lost by 20 points in his only political campaign, is being used by @CNN right now as a political expert. Sean Eldridge next?

— Brent Scher (@BrentScher) March 1, 2016

Of literally all the people I want expert political analysis from, Clay Aiken on CNN just isn't doing it for me.

On the other hand:

Who better than Clay Aiken to discuss a reality television star running for elected office? https://t.co/2TmEGVZu9G
