I have to ALMOST hand it to John Cleese.
Almost.
The Monty Python legend just delivered pure, unfiltered common sense on the endless parade of "phobias" the left invents to shut down debate, especially when it comes to Islam.
While the usual suspects melt down over any honest critique of incompatible customs flooding into the West, Cleese turns the tables with surgical precision and that signature dry British wit.
He's proposing we rebrand the active promotion of child marriage, stoning, ritual animal slaughter that prioritizes suffering, wife-beating, and shadow court systems that reject equality under the law as Anglophobia.
Brilliant.

If standing up for the foundational principles that built Britain — individual liberty, rule of law, protection of the vulnerable — somehow makes you the villain, then fine. Own the term and wear it proudly.
Same goes for those of us in America.
For too long, anyone noting the obvious clash between certain imported practices and Western civilization has been slammed as the problem. Cleese rejects that script entirely. He points out the absurdity of treating hostility toward British identity and values as enlightened, while actual threats to those values get a free pass under the banner of multiculturalism.
Cultural relativism has never been more exposed as the con it is.
Cleese has been consistent on this for years, refusing to apologize for preferring societies that don't stone dissenters or treat women and children as property. That clarity is rare and desperately needed. On that note, I wish he'd figure out the rest of the progressive agenda sucks just as much.
In an era when "diversity" too often means the deliberate erosion of the host culture, this kind of straight talk cuts through the noise. British values didn't emerge by accident. They created one of history's most successful civilizations. Pretending their dilution equals progress is the real intolerance. More voices should follow Cleese's lead instead of cowering.
The alternative is watching those values disappear while the enablers lecture us about tolerance.
