Given the fact that he’s both a self-described and MSM-described “devout Catholic,” it only makes sense that President Joe Biden would have a lot of thoughts about the very real possibility that the Supreme Court could overturn Roe v. Wade.
Earlier today, he shared those thoughts in an official statement in his capacity as POTUS:

Lots to unpack there. Seems only appropriate to start by unpacking Joe Biden’s own abortion debate baggage:
In 1982 Joe Biden proposed a constitutional amendment that would overturn Roe v. Wade and allow states to choose their own policies on abortion.

Joe Biden used to cite his Catholic faith as what guided his position on abortion.
"My religion defines who I am. I've been practicing Catholic whole life…Regard to abortion I accept my church position on abortion as de fide doctrine. Life begins at conception. That's church’s judgment. I accept it in my personal life"

Guess Joe Biden decided that Alyssa Milano was a better moral compass to follow than the teachings of his professed faith.
Of course, the religious angle isn’t the only thing that makes Biden’s statement so genuinely problematic. There’s also, notably, the fact that the President of the United States does not appear to have a fundamental grasp on American civics (seems to be a lot of that going around).
One of Biden's arguments for why Roe should be upheld is that the precedent is nearly 50 years old. The wrongfully decided Supreme Court precedent upholding racial segregation was older than that, is he saying that Plessy v. Ferguson should still be "the law of the land?" https://t.co/6UFB7gHhL2

What he’s saying is that he doesn’t want Democrats to stay on the track they’ve been on and lose spectacularly in November. The SCOTUS is exactly the sort of thing that the Democratic Party needs right now. It’s a tool:

Joe Biden isn’t known for being subtle. This is no exception.
The president just tacitly endorsed leaking SCOTUS decisions.
I wonder how the people who claimed to be conservatives and voted for him to protect “The Norms” feel about their decision now. https://t.co/uTuK4VTjDs

They’re getting exactly what Joe Biden was always going to give them: a steaming load of BS. This was never about a return to norms; it was about ensuring that the Democratic Party maintains a stranglehold on every single aspect of our lives.
The Constitution has been demanding the Court tell the truth and stop making up law for a near half century. And perhaps the President should be concerned about a SCOTUS leak and what that means for the legitimacy of our three branches and all. Abortion ruins everything. https://t.co/vY8IFNxuK1
