Vulture TV staff writer, Kathryn VanArendonk was very upset and even angry over the series finale of ‘Big Bang Theory’.
Not because the story wasn’t good or that the show wasn’t entertaining … nope.
She was angry because one of the characters got pregnant and was, wait for it, HAPPY ABOUT IT.
OMG NOT A PREGNANCY.
The horror.
IN THIS CLIMATE?!

HOW DARE A FICTIONAL CHARACTER BE HAPPY ABOUT BEING PREGNANT!
my mind is still boggling. REALLY? THAT'S THE END?
REALLY!?
— Kathryn VanArendonk (@kvanaren) May 17, 2019
Yes.
Up you must suck it.
when I say that I feel sure this is an accident, what I mean is that it seems likely to have been written with no reference to current events re: abortion laws.
it's clearly not an accident as far as how they decided to find an ending for that character.

HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
So they didn’t go out with a ‘bang’ in her opinion. Alrighty then.
How do these people make it through life being this UPSET about every damn thing on the planet?
— Steven [Innocent memer] Hawkins (@stevenshawkins) May 17, 2019
for real???
— sonia_saraiya (@soniasaraiya) May 17, 2019
So sad over a fictional pregnancy.
K.
I hadn't seen the show in ages so I watched most of the final season in the last few days, and basically the only story Penny gets is "I really do not want to have kids." And then in the finale, it's not even a question? It's just… actually she's pregnant now?
— Kathryn VanArendonk (@kvanaren) May 17, 2019
You don't see her find out, you don't see them have a discussion, you don't see ANY of that, just "oh I'm pregnant, shh it's a secret, it was an accident and I'm happy!"
— Kathryn VanArendonk (@kvanaren) May 17, 2019
And she’s happy.
We’re not seeing the problem here?
Poor dear, what a hard life you have.
— Kate Reject (@DollFace6383) May 17, 2019
Right?
You're effing hilarious, sweetheart.
— Tex Lovera (@texlovera) May 17, 2019
We giggled. A little.
Oh bless your cardiac activity.

Ruining a show for thousands and complaining about someone's happiness in a family they might want? pic.twitter.com/dfERJdC0B4

Having a child is political now? You have to be joking.

Because ABORTION! ALABAMA! VAGINA! REEEEEEE!
Oh I'm so sorry for the huge struggle you are going through
— Lommy (@thefuckisalommy) May 17, 2019
Yeah it’s pretty life-affirming. I can see how that might rankle you.

It's a happy event… and it's a sitcom. pic.twitter.com/Pxe7aFs1vX

Seriously. Not everything has to have some deeper MEANING, sometimes our entertainment is just that, entertainment.
Let it go … let it go …
Editor’s note: Apparently, Kathryn tweeted this right before she flipped out over the finale:
i will not be emotionally affected by the big bang theory finale i will not be emotionally affected by the big bang theory finale i will not be emotionally affected by the big bang theory finale i will not be emotionally affected by the big bang theory finale i will not be emotio
