*SNORT* Mark Kelly Stumbles When Asked If Fellow Democrat Troy Jackson Is a Weak Candidate (Watch)

Sen. Mark Kelly just did the political equivalent of checking his watch and backing toward the exit when asked to vouch for Maine Democrats’ Senate nominee. Confronted with Troy Jackson’s greatest hits — government takeovers of private property and a Medicare-for-All plan that would yank private insurance away from Mainers — the Arizona Democrat suddenly discovered he has never set foot in the state. When your own party’s rising star is so radioactive that a fellow senator won’t even pretend to know the place exists, the race is already telling on itself.

Maybe Kelly would have done better if he'd been able to make the question about him and his service.
