Santa Fe Public Schools keeps insisting its gender policies are just “support,” and a roomful of parents, grandparents, and neighbors just told the school board what that support actually looks like from the cheap seats.
And they didn't worry in the least bit about being POLITE about any of which makes it wonderful.
Independent Women posted the testimony, starting with Kristy Ojinaga — the mom who already pulled her daughter after a male classmate was waved into girls’ private spaces — warning that the district’s latest tweak still wouldn’t have protected her child. Then came the greatest hits of public-school transparency: sex-ed materials parents can’t see, records requests that vanish into a black hole, and families so done with the secrecy that they yanked their kids and started homeschooling.
The board wanted a meeting. It got a reminder that parents are not the opposition, teachers are not replacement parents, and “trust us” is not a curriculum.

Laura Girdner says she came before this same board in 2024 after being denied access to curriculum used in her 7th grader’s sex-ed class.

Tonight, she’s back with a simple request:
“Give us the information, give us adequate notice, & allow parents to make informed decisions for their own children.”
