President Trump touched down at the United Nations and immediately treated CNN like the uninvited and ugly plus-one at a wedding.

With Kaitlan Collins in the mix, he started needling the network for showing up to cover him after the whole “we’re being banned / we won’t cover him” meltdown of the past few days. The White House credentials fight is still raging, the lawsuits are flying, and Trump is doing what he always does when the press is at its most self-important: turning their grievance into the joke.

CNN wanted the moral high ground. They got a roast instead.
