James Talarico Tells Jimmy Kimmel What Jesus Would Do If He Visited the US Senate

As Twitchy reported, Texas Democrat Senate candidate James Talarico pulled the same stunt with Jimmy Kimmel that he did with Stephen Colbert — he and Kimmel pretended that the government banned the airing of his segment, so Talarico posted the entirety of the interview online. All Kimmel would have had to do was have Ken Paxton on too, and it could have aired. We didn't fall for it the first time, and nobody fell for it this time.

We find it fascinating that someone like Colbert or Kimmel would sit respectfully as a guest preached Christianity, but apparently when it comes from Talarico, talking about Jesus is cool.

We don't imagine that anyone watched the entire segment, but RNC Research posted a clip where Talarico imagines what would happen if Jesus were to visit the U.S. Senate.

Ah, angry Jesus.

The post continues:

… vile stuff…NOWHERE does Christianity say a country has to abolish borders to the detriment of the law abiding citizens who live there.

Elect Ken Paxton! 🔥

Talarico has tried to walk back some of his earlier statements that were caught on video, such as his desire to dismantle capitalism, which is directly tied to climate change and white supremacy. He said (again) that he "missed the mark" when he said that. On his website, he says that "Our border should be like a front porch — it should have a welcome mat out front and a lock on the door. He sure sounds like he's for open borders in the clip, though.

Because it's Texas and they're all Bible-thumping hicks.

Us too. Where's Kimmel haranguing him about the separation of church and state?
