‘Moderate Democrats’ has become an oxymoron. There’s no such creature in the Democrat Party. It’s for the best since former DNC Vice-Chair David Hogg is signaling that moderates are not welcome in the new Democrat Party. Apparently, there’s no room in the party’s ’big tent’ unless you align with the Democratic Socialists of America's platform.
Here’s Hogg with CNN’s Kaitlan Collins. (WATCH)
Former DNC Vice-chair David Hogg thinks that there is no room for moderates in the Democrat party:

CNN: “What would you say to the moderates in your party?”
HOGG: “They don’t have the right values." pic.twitter.com/JH9INFoALs
The left used to say that Republicans "don't have the right values". Now they are saying moderate Democrats don't have the right values. This is un-American.

The Democrat Party is turning against the very voters it needs to win elections.
Voters who once described themselves as moderate Democrats say they were left behind when the party went woke and veered into far-left extremism.
I started my right to vote exclusively voting for Democrats because they were more moderate than the religious right at the time. Now, at this rate, I will never vote for another Democrat for as long as I live. They are extremists and significantly worse than Republicans in every way.

There are so many of us in this same boat, it's not even funny. They've turned away from the normie middle and sanity, and betrayed liberal values and fighting for the little guy, to become an ideological cult that thinks men can be lesbians and women are bigots for wanting the rights they helped us win. The last time the minimum wage was raised was in 2009. 2009. They created the very situation that allowed the far-left extremist socialists to take over.

It’s depressing. I found an old Newsweek from 96 and i couldn’t believe how sensible democrats were: anti-crime, anti-illegal immigration, pro-blue collar etc. They’re unrecognizable now.
— Hugh (Friggin) Dingus (@AllDeezAliens) August 7, 2026
Exactly. It's very depressing. Now all any of them can come back at me with is a cult chorus of, "Republicans hate you and will come for you next if we don't stick together for The Great Progressive Omnicause!" They can't even realize that we don't live in the 80s anymore, and that's the kind of argument an abusive partner uses. It's literally all they have. They've traded normal policies for hysterical hyperbole and an echo chamber where no one can challenge anything.

The Democrat Party’s DSA members are not in the business of compromising.
Posters say polls show Democrats are alienating everyone but far-left extremists.
Yup. Im in the same boat. Was a SOLID dem for decades. Now I cannot even believe what im seeing from the left. I cant ever go back.

77% of independents despise this New Democrat socialist agenda. I would argue that a big chunk of that 77% is moderate/center-left-leaning voters. Democrats are alienating the exact base that swings every modern election. Midterms will be historic in terms of numbers and the majority party winning for the first time since 2002.

If it was true, Democrats would not get that much of a lead over Republicans for the House.

It is true and they’re going to lose big league pic.twitter.com/IkF0MSXaSi

Let’s hope so. Republicans need to reach out to the moderates and independents that the Democrat Party has abandoned. Republicans will need every vote they can to hold the House and Senate and pick up seats.
